Protests only work when the media supports your agenda.
You can get thousands of people coming together to burn things, destroy cop cars, and steal tvs in the streets to protest a man who assaulted a police officer and made him fear for his life getting swift justice get positive media and government support. "They're just frustrated." "These people have been subjected to too much scrutiny for too long." "Better send some representatives to the funeral to show we support the community."
You get 10 or 12 guys together legally requesting an area to hold a demonstration to support gun rights and doing it in a polite manner and the media freaks the heck out. "Armed domestic terrorists set up intimidation points near government buildings." "Right-wing extremists bring guns near park where children play to support their violent agenda."
Fortunately, the pro-gun argument has a wildcard up its sleeves. Facts! When you have facts and logic on your side you don't have to go parading around screaming and assaulting people who disagree. But you do need to do something and I would like to see more done. Unfortunately, it must be done with significantly more tact than any of the government and media supported agendas that have been shoved down our throats the last few years.*MFC*

Mom woke me up asking me to come downstairs to shoot a snake in the back yard. It was about 25-30 yards away, brown like a copperhead. I got up and pissed then grabbed my AR and loaded it with Wolf at first since I'm more comfortable taking longer and smaller shots with a rifle than a handgun. Walked down and she flipped saying I'd bust a waterline or something. I said fuk it and grabbed my Glock instead with 147gr HST. Went back down and saw the fukker's head up and looking around. It was the perfect opportunity, but I had to go outside because of the doggos. By then it had laid back down and I searched for it, eventually found a sliver of it and fired twice. Then I went down into the yard to look for it but it was gone, didn't find any pieces of it so I fukked up. Went back inside and then had my coffee.
I still wish I would've shot with my AR instead. You can't look the same as someone else, but you can be the best of yourself.

Jelly of everyone's time off their getting....I get about a week off when the daughter's born here in a few weeks, but something tells me that's not going to be a relaxing few days off.

I just got in my first heavy workout in a while. I feel like I regained a lot of muscle fullness that I'd lost. Still need to get rid of about 5 lbs of fat.

Back in my day we killed our snakes with a shovel, axe, or machete.
OR a shotgun.
