The guy is 36 years old. That's like the equivalent of a quarterback in his early 40s. Won two slams this year. 3-0 vs. Nadal. Will be No. 2 on Monday despite skipping a 3 month clay season worth 5000+ points. I'd say he's doing alright.

Nadal has not faced a single Top 50 player. He's feasting on a weak draw. Del Potro won it in 2009 (beating Nadal 2-2-2) and beat Nadal at the Olympics last year. That was always going to be a tough match if he turned up to play and he did.

ha understandable. But I didn't bet. If I were to bet on tennis I'd run it by dom, he's our (remaining) resident tennis hobby expert. Just like if anyone places a bet on football, basketball, baseball, markets, elections, etc, they'll run it by me 1st.

Was disappointing they had the Championship match on NFL opening Sunday. But it's the US Open around this time every year.

He told me last year he'd been dealing with some form of seizure disorder which kept him from working, driving, and training for some time. Then he found a really good neurologist who put him on medication that got his symptoms under control and he was back working, got his DL back, and was back training hard.

Last post on the forums was 6/8. Last post here was in May when Chris Cornell passed away. What I said to him and what happened a month later is not something that will leave me anytime soon. He was a good guy. No doubt about that.
