Hard to believe it was that long ago. I think that was the game when Miami fans caught flack for leaving early, missing the big comeback win. I'm sure I was unbearable on the forum that night.
And with the current inverted yield curve you don't have to lock up long to get it. But I never buy CDs. Money Market funds 7-day yield are over 5% with full easy liquidity. To lock anything up the T-Bill route pays well over 5 short term. Fed is probably done raising the fed funds rates but we'll see soon.DR. 3time

Yes, those over sized media displays are stupid. And many times they don't even look built into the dash. Looks cheap. Saw a Subaru (I think it was) where it was practically the size of the steering wheel.
Lots of other things too. Drove a new Honda a while back and the engine turns off when you stop. Suppose the extra wear on the starter is worth saving a few drops of gas.DR. 3time

Mine's got it (same as 2nd image) and I have to turn it off every time + turn off lane assist. Having the car pull on the steering wheel at freeway speeds courtesy of a tiny camera following line markings isn't for me. Anyone who needs all that crap to drive safely might want to reassess their concentration levels.
I agree that screen size is overkill. Subaru have issues with Android Auto not using the full screen in portrait. My friend has the new WRX and he switched from Samsung to Apple for that reason.
It could always be worse.

I would do the same and turn it off every time. I couldn't believe you can't just disable it. Then again I'm not even a fan of push button starts, keys work just fine and likely better security from all the robbers, as well as electronic parking brakes, no thx. I do like power seats though.

I agree most of the technology is overkill. Dealers love it because there's more to fail outside warranty and less you can service yourself.
Having my phone sync'd to the touchscreen with Waze running is a game changer. Helps me avoid traffic, road works at night, and the more obvious speed traps. There are overhead "crotch cams" here that spy into your car to catch you touching your phone for an $1100 fine. In the past I had a cradle but on a really hot day it'd sometimes fall off. Nice to not have to worry about that. I just plug in my phone when I get in (if I had an Apple it would be wireless) which also keeps it charged. It also handles your calls, voice to text, music, etc.
Take home tip if you ever get a car with one of these ridiculous fobs. 2nd day with the car all the windows were down thankfully just after the tint had dried. There's a feature that only a moron could have dreamed up where if you hold down the unlock button for a period of time, you know like accidentally in your pocket, it opens all the windows for the driver who's walking back to their car and wants the convenience of letting heat out. I wonder what could go wrong? Leave the car parked outside and it rains overnight with the windows down. Thieves use your garage remote to stroll in, grab your key, and then drive off. I managed to disable that one. However a few times after that it happened with the boot. The solution was a plastic fob cover that clips on. I never have to touch the buttons anyway so it was a cheap fix.

Doesn't sound like a car.
Nice work finding a workaround. Thieves are on the rise.
Sometimes I'll watch Scotty's vids as he's usually entertaining and fun to sometimes learn something new once in a while.
This one came out and thought of our discussion lmao lol lmao lol
