    Donated blood yesterday

    I donated blood yesterday evening and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to workout tonight.

    Usually from what I remember at least, they say give your body 24 hours to recover. So depending on the time you did it yesterday and the time of your workout. Go for it.

    I work out the next day all the time when I give blood, and good for you for doing it, too.

    Generally, though, I go at aound 75% of usual the day after.

    And not a day you want to do something like HIIT!

    Yeah I try and do it at least once or twice a year. I think I might even cut out the cardio completely tonight and do it tomorrow. I really don't want to pass out tonight at the gym.

    its never a bad idea to deadlift.

    haha but seriously, OP, they normally tell you 24 hours to recover at least, and i would also suggest adding extra carbs to your pre-workout meal to ramp up the blood sugar. itll help keep you from being as light headed and tired. also, like said about, fluids, lots of fluids!
