For Next Year
Your in my position for next year, some schools wanted me to go to prep school however I still wanna try to get better options as well. I had some partial and a few full rides out of high school but they were mediocre academically and I wanna do better athletically and academically. I am also a later bloomer cuz i didnt start working out until right before my junior season and my training had little guidance. I did have a very successful high school carear but my work ethic has allowed to me to make significant gains. However which one of these two schools would u choose to attend next year
A) This first prep school is known throught the country as one of the most prestegious athletic places around. It's an all boys school that has a very strong football program that plays the likes of JV D1AA teams. I would be practicing and going against the best every day in practice to improve. I would also be able to take college classes to transfer once i was admitted to the school of my choice. That is definitley a big plus but generally speaking, the grades of the kids up there for th most part are lacking. The football team is all postgraduates and often sends over 10 kids to the D1A and D1AA level. They have a lot of bigtime recruits that have gone there and it seems that the exposure level and the level of play is really high. They hold their own combine and invite college coaches and you get seen exclusively as a player of there team. A concern is that they have 50-60 kids who are college athletes and its tough to monitor all their recruiting so i dont wanna get lost. I am definitley a D1 recruit but playing time could be an issue because they have multipule D1 kids and may have to share time most likely. They dont do as much as far as tape, and up to you to make your own highlight tape because face it, their are so many kids on the team that are college athletes. Everyone is a big fish where they come from and here a lot of big fishes so everyone becomes a small fish in a big pond. Middle of nowhere which would be good because no distractions and really focus on what i gotta do. They have recruited me and definitley want me to come but i am not one of the top 5 kids, probably top 10 kid because they have multpule kids with D1A offers.
School #2- This school is still a very high level of football. The coach is very proactive in recruiting and would be a lot more personal with what schools I want to send tape to and would aid in making a recruiting tape. I would be able to play 1.5 ways here, meaning i'd play defensive end all the time and would sub in on offense if i wanted to. It would be more like high school however the academics are key because they are very strong at this school because its known well around for it's grades as well. I would be a big fish at this school because it's a high school with 8 PG's. This school isnt as high as a level but this team has had David Ball and Colt Brennan (2 NFL kids in the draft that broke records). Since theirs less college kids id be more of a focus and wouldnt be a big struggle for playing time. In a sense id be more of a big fish in a small pond however its still a high level of football as this confrence sends a great amount D1AA and they play the team Myron Rolle is from (FSU) and play numerous D1AA kids. IN the past few years they have sent their kids to Boston College, UConn, Arizona, Army, Wofford, Northeastern, Colgate, Harvard, Bucknell, UNH, Fordham, Delaware, Stanford, Maine, and many other top programs. So the level of football here is by no means a joke but it isnt a place where they have a handful of D1A kids and another handful of D1AA kids.
Bad thing is its so much more like hs while the other one is like a college and there are only like 25 PG's enrolled at the school. While the other one is all pg's. Its girls and boys (but i have a gf so it doesnt really matter) This one is 45 mins from my house while the other one is about 2 hours
Which one would u choose?

if its providing him ample oppurtunities to recieve a big time scholarship and give him that major exposure... I think the girls can wait until after the dismissal bell rings.. he didnt say there were no girls in the whole city

both are good options but there is no guarantee of a scholly so you are still gonna hav to ball out.
my buddy went to bridgeton thinking he was going to be a badass there and ended up playing but getting no offers. he ended up walking-on at another school.
id go to the 2nd one tho

both seem like good options, and no girls = doesnt mean no fun....there are girls in the town i can guarantee and if you hav a girl than dont worry about it.
i went to an all boys school for a while in HS and it wasnt bad at all...the kids who dont get girls hate it, but if you hav a girl or have any game at all haha ..you will still be with the females.
i know both schools you are looking at tho, and both seem like great institutions where you could do well at

yeah.. they both will provide oppurtunity.. i will have to take advantage of it. It will come down to how bad i feel school #1 wants me and how much they will do for me personally because it's only a year and i have to do wats best for me but i feel its a win-win situation
I already got a girl so it isnt that big of a deal
