I've reached a healthy weight (according to bmi). Losing any more would just be for aesthetics, which I do want, don't get me wrong but lately I just find it hard to give a ****.
I eat less and exercise a few times a week almost instinctively now but when it comes to counting calories and tracking things in a log I just can't get the willpower to do it anymore, I feel completely burnt out with it.
Anyone else experienced this?
I've also noticed in my work outs which are mainly boxing which I usually enjoy, I feel like I'm just going through the motions and have zero mental energy to put into it either.
TL : DR - feels like my body is still at the wheel keeping me fit but my mind is completely vacant from it.
The car has stalled but I'm still moving slowly in the right direction.

I totally get this - but it's the small things that add up to the final pieces.
I've gone years of lifting, sometimes losing motivation to trying different things (10k's, slow pitch softball, homebrewing). I try to keep my overall goal of strength and size in mind, setting smaller goals along the way to make it feel attainable.
Sometimes I have to break it down to literally day by day goals that do add up. Counting calories daily is a real bear, and I haven't found a good way to shake that up.
However - I have been able to add other active hobbies that shake up my workout routine from feeling too monotonous. For example, on Sundays - for rest day, my wife and I go to yoga at a nearby brewery and I enjoy my beer for the week (1-2 pints). Sometimes I feel silly doing yoga, but others my body is extremely grateful to be stretching out in the sun after 2x BW squats and deads on Saturday.
Also - slow progress is better than no progress. Your motivation level doesn't always have to be 11/10.@heavyhoplifting on IG and Twitter

You may just need a new goal.
You wanted to lose weight - you did it, and congratulations for that. It's a real accomplishment.
But now that you've done 90% of what you set out for, there's 90% less driving force to take it further?
If you're happy with where you are, then great, just continue on with that doing maintenance work (going through the motions). If you want more from yourself, put a bit of thought into exactly what that is, and what you need to do to get there. Reshape your goals, then reshape yourself and your life.A man can only be beaten in two ways: if he gives up, or dies.

Everyone wants to look good but it takes a certain type of person to make huge sacrifices in their lives to achieve it. Don't be sold the disillusion that being aesthetic is the norm, it isn't, and you shouldn't feel bad that your finding it difficult to follow a somewhat shallow goal. I'd recommend taking some time off being so harsh on your self, relax a little, and get back into the swing of things when it feels right. Your lack of motivation could be your subconscious telling you to stop following a potentially pointless goal. Peace, scottyfkin666

I started another log in the losing weight logs.
I set a specific goal and time frame which should help me keep going. I've realised whenever i've been successful at keeping goals they've had to be specific and challenging in a way that almost feels competitive. If I'm just telling myself do this until i get around here then it almost never works. Trying to prove to myself i can do this specific thing is much better at keeping my attention and focus.
At least that's the plan. Day 1 is done.
Can i prove to myself that i can do 30 days of precise calorie restriction again?
