been a busy mama this week that is for sure
took my son down state to the children's hospital for a medical procedure monday
he has a heart murmer ( the kind you do not grow out of )
so they need to do scope and get a 3D image of his heart
to determine if open heart surgery is needed
fortunately, for us they decided it is not needed now
but might be in the future
so that was our Sunday, Monday and drove home that night
he was all groggy the next day from the anesthesia
I have been scrambling all week
doing my internship training
and meeting up with my families
that I am going to counsel
plus my grad classes

busy busy busy
now I gotta tackle this research proposal due next week

but...there is light at the end of the tunnel
or maybe I am just dying
I mean..I am getting pretty damn old now

graduation is May

Sunny and warm here. Week 3 of a sinus infection and terrible leg DOMS. All I squatted was 305 x 3 which is about right at 9 weeks out, but I should not be getting this sore. Must be dat der cutting.

Guys, I was sitting here reflecting back on the past few years, all that’s happened, and the direction life has taken.
I just had to say thank you to each and every one of this crew. Myself and Betsy just started back in the gym after some time off for her to recover from knee surgery. I cannot have DOMS and not think of all of you!

Getting furious about kids on phones in the gym lately. 6 benches, 4 kids on phones and 2 guys lifting. WTF, I got fuking work to do.

Comes back in and plops his ass back down on a bench playing on his phone again.

Our gym has rules posted and one of them is no cell phones. If you're using an app to track your workout - fine, but if you spend 10 minutes on your phone between 20 seconds of tricep extensions, GTFO!

1)unrack your weights
2)no spitting tobacco in water fountain
3)throw your trash away
4)no boob sweat or sock money

miss my frands, gonna try to be more active round here. ion, got a treadmill for home so no more excuses for missing cardio. working on adding a couple more days of lifting in-only been making it 1-2 times a week--dislike.

Got some Cajun pork chops (pork tenderloin wrapped around Cajun sausage and wrapped in thick sliced bacon) that I am grilling tonight. Going to celebrate surviving another week with a few of my sissy beers whilst I am grilling. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
