Olive Oil vs Flax Seed Oil

Is there any difference in the benefits of Flax Seed Oil vs Olive Oil? They for the most part have the same mono/poly unsaturated fat content, but is there something in the Flax that makes it better for you? I'm just wondering because I usually have Olive Oil in the house, a lot easier than finding flax seed oil.

Flax oil is less saturated and is a decent source of Omega-3, and is therefore a little "better" for you. Use it cold and keep it refrigerated. Use Olive oil for items you want to cook as younglifter13 suggested.

check the labels for the fat breakdown.

you'll see olive oil has more monos and flax has more polys.

polys contain efas. i use both myself.

Fish are much better. Also too much EFA can be harmful, especially if the slightest bit oxidised. Olive oil is a good choice of fat but a poor choice for EFA.

i dont believe it to be.

i went off of flax for 2 months (money got tight) and that familiar ache came back when squatting and i was still taking 2 servings of olive oil a day.

when i got back on the flax, after roughly 9 or 10 days it had lessened. then this morning i trained legs and it was completely gone, i'm just realizing now.

thats personal experience, i dont know what the science would say.
