Hard consistent work and the desire to work past my insecurities, fears and to continue to overcome those mental blocks to achieve my goals
And lots of duck Fat & doughnuts cuz **** the haters
My entire journey I have been told I will never achieve weight loss, I will not accomplish those goals it's impossible-You have so very far to go that I will stay obese and here I am today having lost 175# eating more today than I did when I started back in 2013 on a daily basis. My wife has also supported my entire journey and continued to be in my corner with future goals of being as big as possible even when my entire family disapproves of those goals.Last edited by Rob1882; 05-04-2016 at 12:13 PM.

The biggest thing I've learned throughout my life is that if someone wants to make a change, they're the only one that can make it happen. I've seen way too many people expect things to just fall in their lap and waste their lives away waiting when they could have been spending that time making sure it happened. I'm glad that I was able to learn this lesson early, as it's really helped me get off my ass and leave my fate up to me.Last edited by Ck170; 05-04-2016 at 02:58 PM.

Hard work and having role models like your parents that will support you every step of the way. Knowing that what ever comes along the road, you can always find a way to complete it. In fact, I am graduating college tomorrow with an engineering degree all thanks to my parents support. When I picked Computer Science as my major, all my friends were like why would you do computer science you dropped out of your first CS class in high school (long story). Who is laughing now?Log:

In snickerdoodle
For me it was my grandpa growing up, he had a farm and all the work outside work to do. We would wake up at 5 eat breakfast then go to work. If it wasn't for my grandpa I wouldn't be the man I am today! He's the one who showed me what hardworking and dedication and determination means!

Hard work, loyalty, family, all of these are huge in my life. I think the one thing that really makes me as a person is a positive attitude. I honestly believe today is the best time ever to be alive, but with all of our abundance it is easy to be negative and focused on the minutia. As society we sit on computers, phones, and tablets and complain about everything. We essentially do this because of the massive amount of stuff we have and all the time we have with nothing else to do. High speed internet, plenty to eat, electricity, clean water, amazing health advances, technology that keeps us from breaking our back for wages, etc.
It seems as if it is rare to be positive about what the day will bring. Like I said we live in incredible times and even though I can be sarcastic on forums in real life I'm overwhelmingly positive. I don't get on social media and complain about stuff that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. No one who is truly negative about things achieves anything. I don't care if we are talking in the gym, with relationships, in our careers. It's not ego or arrogance, but I think positive people are positive because they are confident in their abilities and know they can get things done. I believe the mind is the most powerful thing we all have, and a positive ass kicking attitude gives me a leg up on all the jaded lazy complainers of the world.

very generous promo by Team Dymatize
I learned alot of my values from my mom. Seeing her work 6 days a week to provide for my sister and I yet made sure she was at all of our sporting events/extracurricular activities, help instill values like hardwork, family, and loyalty. I definitely look back on what she has done and taught me and is very grateful/appreciative for it.-#TeamBramble #GetFitOrDie

IN for support, dymatize keeping it rolling with the awesome promos. Orange Dreamsicle and Cinnamon Bun are the best if anyone is wondering :P
Even though I'm not entering it's definitely family for me as well. They always worked hard for what they had and gave me that same approach although it took a few years to sink in. I promised my mom before she passed away that I would finish my bachelor's degree and I did. I thought I could kind of skate by and didn't listen to them till after reality sets in but they were right all along about stuff. Listen when you're young as they have the actual life experience to back up what they preach.Last edited by kornflake7; 05-04-2016 at 01:49 PM.

*Your turn. What values have made you into the person that you are today?*
Hard work? Loyalty? Family?
I would say family values... Both my parents since I was kid touch me to appreciate things for what they truly are and not by just the appearance of them. Strong moral approach, discipline and ethic is what I leaned from them and at the same time added those characteristics to my persona and way to handle situations in life. Till this day I consider my father my role model, because of his success in sports and intellectual life (Remember as a kid in my grand mother house the living room full of trophy's and the walls full of titles from the University). There is not denying that I always felt like the second version of him in the way I manage myself as a responsible and mature person while at work or at any stage of my life that I'm in. Not only my father is been my best fried but also the greatest training partner I ever had.
Commitment is the name of the game for us and it runs in my family...
I'm still working on getting as much titles and trophy's to match my father and make him more proud every day.System Administrator

Woah! YUUUUUUUGE promo. Definitely in for this and for some inspiration from other's stories.
What makes me the person that I am is just my overall lust for life. I want to experience as much as possible in the short time I am given on this earth and as a result, I have a bucket list a mile long. Most of the items on my list are of a physical nature (running a marathon, completing a triathlon, climbing mountains, backpacking countries, etc.). So in order to do these things I need to take the utmost care of my body which is where my passion for health, fitness, and nutrition comes in to play. Living a healthy lifestyle will also, hopefully, increase my longevity giving me even more time to constantly add items to my bucket list.
This is a truly awesome promo. Thanks for the opportunity guys!Army Vet (11A)

Wow! Impressive giveaway again from Dymatize!
I think the values that have helped me get the farthest are determination, discipline, and hard work. Additionally, I think valuing family and loved ones has been important to my personal growth and success too.☑*CountryMike Appreciation Crew*☑

IN just for support
sigh. .
Family was actually my biggest setback while pursuing this lifestyle. . since being "bulky" is quite peculiar in the Asian culture.
Hence why I placed myself aloof from any family members :/
However, I believe being optimistic and having accountability got me where I am today.
I had so many setbacks where I was at the pinnacle of depression. .
Car accident (not at fault) --> lawyer that misrepresented me. . flooding in my apartment (not at fault) --> corporate charging me excessively for things I did not document.
But surrounding myself with positive people with high ambitions inspires me to keep moving forward.

Not entering promotion.
Just in to support a great company and four great reps.
The #1 factor that caused me to change myself was my family.
I want to be around for them for a long time, and being fit and healthy would certainly increase the chances for that to happen.
Today I am thankful to have a fitter and healthier body.
The journey's not over though.
I am going to live to be 94. That's my number!
i WILL see my great-grand children.
Good luck to all who are entering the promotion.

Just in for support.
Really enjoy Dymatize products and their new rep team is freaking killing it.
There are 2 things that have really help transform me into who I am today:
1. The past. Learning from mistakes I have made in the past and problems I have been through.
2. Other people. Seeing other people full of hate, full of bitterness, etc. Seeing these people make me realize I never want to be like that. It is the reason I always have a good attitude and will always keep my sense of humor.**********************
