Mhmm. Fun game, but also one of the most frustrating games i've played in a long time.Probably won 1 match all night thus far. Not even going to look at K/D

This game can put me on tilt like no other game. I don't know why, but when I am getting countered and then I pick a counter and I get countered and then I pick another counter and I get countered and .... then I go full tilt and just either starts rekking the other team 100%, keep dying or pick mei and push with ice walls.

Finally decided to ignore the SJW chit about the game's development and just buy it because I want to play it.

Sounds like it's going to be another Rainbow Six: Siege where I constantly get put onto teams full of dribbling spastics.

Serious question why are so many gamers absolutely AWFUL at video games? Like I can understand not having the best reactions but the majority of them don't even know HOW to play games correctly.

Not heard many people playing as Winston. I'm literally going to pick him 100% of the time. Don't care if he's good, I'll find a way to be more effective than 90% of players with him.

Winston has his uses and if he's good really depends on the opposing team. If they have lots of weak dps heroes then just leap into them, pop a shield and kill them. It's like butter.

Been watching this on and off today, decent tournament. I love all the people who wisely predicted that Overwatch would have ZERO E-Sports scene, bravo to you intelligent folks. The game hasn't been out for a week and there's already pro teams popping up left and right, a ton of tournaments, etc...

Ya and there were pro Diablo teams formed for PVP even tho pvp never even came out.

It's all hype. This game is way too noob friendly for any kind of serious pvp in the long run.

There's literally no skill about half of the ults in the game that can kill a whole team.

Also since everything is so comp based, it'll be basically like playing Rock Paper Scissors and guessing what the other team's comp is so u can counter it.

EDIT: Was just watching the TakeTV tourney on twitch. One ult ended the game. "competitive esports" indeed lmaao

i get that too. i personally love playing healing or support. but nobody ever picks a tank so i have to do it. im terrible at tanking though

My main problem is that I love playing Reinhardt but he relies completely on his team, can't do much without good support. Roadhog or DVA can tear some **** up on their own

should i buy overwatch? i'm on ps4... i have lots of time to play but havent been doing a ton of gaming lately. dont know many/any friends playing it right now... used to be really good at CoD, semi sometimes ok at Halo, back in the day was good with unreal tournament. heard it's a lot of fun but requires teamwork to succeed, also heard it lacks depth of content to justify the price.

i wouldn't buy it for console personally. it's a fun casual game but it's not worth more than $40.

I've been playing mostly with Mei lately. She is extremely useful and can wreak havoc in the hands of a decent player. She is dominant on defense and also very good on offense as well.
I've been averaging around 15 eliminations per game and making tons of clutch moves around the objectives.

Servers have 60 ticks... Clients have 20 ticks. 20 ticks...

By comparison: the worst servers on BF3/4 has 30 ticks and 60 ticks is medium ok. 120/144 ticks is very good servers.
CSGO has 64 ticks which is considered to be just ok and 128 ticks to be the gold standard.

So OW has 6.4 times less the amount of ticks a professional CSGO server/client has.

this lol. all a game needs to be a viable esport is if they have a community that will play it. that's it.

marvel vs capcom 2 is one of the most unbalance games ever and it had a competitive scene for a decade

When in doubt I usually default to D.VA her escapability and kamikaze bomb does well in attack IMO. If I choose any offense character I get my ass handed to me.

League is not noob friendly.

You cannot run into 3 people by yourself and kill all of them in league, or any other actually competitive game.

Hearthstone has a "booming" e-sports scene? It reaches a max of 50k viewers whereas league/csgo climaxes at 1million viewers.

League is the most noob friendly of all esports games. That's what makes a game popular. Very easy to get into but hard to master.
