    December 28, 2016 - Back/Biceps

Got in this morning for another quick one, and went with my wife for the first time since she was still pregnant ... probably almost 2 years now!

    Reverse Grip Pull Downs
    1 x 8 @ 120lb
    2 x 8 @ 135lb
    1 x 8 @ 150lb
    1 minute rests between sets

    Bent Over BB Rows
    1 x 8 @ 135lb
    1 x 6 @ 145lb
    1 x 6 @ 150lb
1 minute rest between sets, these felt great

    HS Low Row
    3 x 8/arm @ 70lbs
1 minute rest between sets, good pump here, really focused on MMC

    EZ Bar Curl
    3 x 10 @ 50lb
    1 minute rest between sets

Cross Body Hammer Curls - DBs
    3 x 8/arm @ 25lbs

    Notes:

All we had time for this morning ... was hoping to get some HIIT and abs in as well. Strongly debating getting back to the gym tonight to do that ... I think I've re-awakened the obsession with the gym

    January 3, 2016 - Chest/Shoulders/Triceps

Super weird ... I'm into a couple weeks consistent now of workouts, and logging them ...

Went late last night and got a wicked session in at an empty gym. Short rests and a killer pump!

    Incline DB Press
    1 x 10 @ 35
    1 x 10 @ 50
    warmups
    1 x 7 @ 65
    4 x 6 @ 70
2 minute rests between sets .. felt a bit stronger here this week

    Pec Dec Flyes
    3 x 8 @ 110lb
1 minute rests between sets ... slow reps, big squeeze

    Close Grip Pushups - AMRAP
    1 x 15
better than last week - I want to add a couple more each week

    Seated DB Shoulder Press
    4 x 7 @ 40lb
    1 minute rests between sets

Front Raise/Side Raise/Bent Over Rear Delts
    3 x 7 @ 15lb front, 3 x 7 @ 15lb side, 3 x 7 @ 10lb rear
1 minute rest after each giant set of 21 ... did the rears bent over with my head supported on a bench

    Tricep Pressdown (V-Bar)
    3 x 8 @ 100lb
    1 minute rests

    Tricep Kickback (cable)
    3 x 8 @ 100lb
    1 minute rests

    Notes:

Pretty awesome session again. Definitely getting stronger.

Had a few other sessions over the last few days that I just forgot to log. I got in for some HIIT/Abs and Legs ... the DOMS are horrible again. My punishment for neglecting training for so long. Bring on all the glutamine lol

Yes sir! Body composition is totally changing now as well. I've caved and had a few drinks over the holidays, but now that I'm back home tomorrow I'll head back on the no booze train

Ha, yea ... problem is with the year and a half I had, the drinks were doing the opposite for my mental health

Training has been so-so. We all got hit by bus sick when we got back to Calgary, and with our little guy's underlying health issues that makes for a scary adventure ... we avoided the hospital though which is super encouraging. Means he's getting stronger and able to handle things on his own.

I should be getting back to the gym tonight and I'll get the workout posted up

    Thanks for checking in Andrew!

No problem .... it's pretty hard to avoid those rounds of illness when you have a little one and good news that you're all better. Hope you had a good training session!
