Grow up.
Eating less doesn't require a positive amount of effort - it requires no effort. Eating less is easier than eating more. Stop brainwashing yourself and stop looking for pity. This is what happens when you don't listen to others or your parents, instead, you listen to your uncultured and negative thoughts. Start listening. Sleep well, eat well and do a few sets of weights at 60% effort. You will feel like dynamite within a week or so.
That is all you got to do;
Sleep well.
Eat well.
And work some muscles every 24-48 hours.
That is all you got to do, don't try to do it. Do it.
I speak from experience. I've been 270 for a while - when I want to go on a diet...I do these 3 things...while not going above ~60% effort and I follow a 80/20 rule for eating...eat well 80% of the time, and how i want 20% of the time.
Understanding all the hormones and cycles your body goes through when you are obese helps too. It's not a problem of will power. It's hormones man. Insulin most likely floods your body preventing anything else from working correctly.
Don't track ****.
Don't use a scale.
Don't ADD more to your life - that is not the objective.
Do less - you already have common sense, everyone does.
Just sleep well, eat well and workout a little bit.
What this does is balance out your hormones and in the case your hormones are a little out of balance, the heightened metabolism rate, due to workouts, will counteract this by restoring hormonal balance faster. You will wake up in this morning feeling like dynamite. No bull****.
The ONLY things you need to do:
1) Sleep well.
2) Eat well.
(ANYONE will lose weight with this rule of thumb: 1 portion of each food group per meal; and possibly 2 portions of a high protein food group)
Example;
1-2 portions of meat (2 small chicken breasts)
1 portion of veggies (1 cup any veggy)
1 portion of fruits ( 1 cup any fruit)
1 portion of dairy (1 3cm thick slice of cheese)
1 portion of cereals (3-8 crackers, whole wheat)
And in your case, you will get hungry between meals; break this hunger with peanuts, cashews, almonds, etc.
3) Work some muscles.
The things you absolutely don't need to do:
Track calories.
Use a scale.
Think about this all the time.
Use depression as the cause of your current state.
If you are already weak in your legs and limbs, carrying yourself throughout the day will be depressing in itself...4-5 little legs routines will fix this, trust me, the ease to carry yourself will help a lot in your mood.
If you really stick to it, you can lose an easy 10 pounds per month. If you wanna take it easy this may become 5 pounds per month.
Also, we are genetically PROGRAMMED to be big - that is to say; we are meant to put on weight for survival purposes. For winter or in case we do not have access for food - genetically, we are still hunter/gatherers being thin IS and will ALWAYS be a fight. Realize this now; it's better to find out in a worse circumstance.
But, using what you already do; sleep, eating and moving - and improving upon those things, it will be an easy fight - like, punching a punching bag - literally.
I prefer to look at it in terms of effort and when I do, I find that losing weight requires less effort than being big. And in fact, this is true. Although it is genetically contradictory, once you're out of the cycle, it doesn't feel like a fight.
60% max effort
80/20 rule
and
sleep, eat and workout
How easy is that? You already do them, all you need to do, is adjust them slightly."I'll have a double big mac combo...with a DIET SODA!"
I'm on a diet.

I can't seem to hold on to it.I have lost 10 kgs and I am staying there atm.I just go like 2 days on a eating rampage. And the rest are normal. No excuses , I am indeed a failure.
But to be honest this thread was one of the most motivations I had and now since no1 is replying I am losing a little hope as the days come past.

Just eat normal healthy food, but count your calories.
Use websites like myfitnesspal where you can put in what you ate and see how many calories it is.
Aim to eat around 2000 calories a day for now and try any exercise that you can.
Just walking around the neighborhood, or riding your stationairy bike is great.
Losing weight is all about burning more calories than you eat.
Dont drink regular sodas or juice.
Only drink water or diet soda with zero calories.
Try not to snack.
No chocolates, not potato chips etc.
Try chewing on sugar free gum if you're hungry a lot.
Try eating healthy food because it has less calories in it.
So no mcdonalds, no junk food etc.
You can do this.

You have already done what is probably the hardest part (first few weeks)
i cant believe youre going to give up now...
It doesn't matter if you don't drop weight constantly, as long as you are being consistent it WILL come off, don't binge for a couple days then go back to it as you are undoing alot of hard work. If you feel bad or really NEED to have something to stay mentally sane have 1 small cheat snack, dont just throw the whole day out and say **** it i cheated might aswell continue and eat liek **** for the next day or 2. You have to stay steady. Consistency is key
Do you want to be a fat **** the rest of your life? its not just the appearance that will suffer, lots of other things will.
stay strong and be healthy

Nice keep going bro
If you get suicidal thoughts or wanna hurt yourself do it through nutrition, hurt yourself by not eating the food you like instead of cutting yourself for example. And instead of killing yourself, kill yourself at the gym, you nomsayinman ?
Keto is good but it's expensive and probably too strict for a new guy, you can drop weight fast enough at your size, you are fat enough that your body wants to get rid of the fat.
Do not neglect strength training, do cardio to burn some calories but don't make that your main activity, do strength training mostly and watch your nutrition, cardio is just bonus.
Btw avoid fruit juice, or any drink that is sweet, sugar from "organic juice" is not better than soda, it's the same chit.
If you get food cravings, force yourself by contracting every muscle in your body, it will release some of the tension (because cravings come from emotional issues, which you can release through muscles)
And/or watch porn, replace one craving with another, at least porn doesn't make you fat and you actually burn a few calories by fapping.
Got all that man ?
