Agreed. All of those guys plus Metcalf and Juwuan Taylor have a first round grade by many draft pundits except for maybe Deebo who is considered a top of the 2nd round talent.
As much as I want AJ could we pass up Taylor or Risner? Both would be our future RT once Staley retires and both could probably start at guard day 1.
I'd also consider a trade down to pick up an extra pick or pick up a 2nd rounder next year (traded ours for Dee Ford). How wild would that be? Basically could get Dee Ford for nothing.
My want list:
AJ Brown
J Taylor
D Risner
DK Metcalf
Greedy
Deebo
Adderly
H Butler
K Harmon
C Ford
D Thompson
Cant wait!!!LOL @ people who follow politics

If AJ Brown is gone I’d be down to trade back a bit. I have such a love affair with him that I couldn’t justify passing on him. But there’s so many players I like still available that a trade back could work out great.
I like Murphy but I can’t see the team drafting a 5’10 corner this early. They want bigger corners for this scheme.

What do you guys think of Miles Boykin? His athletic profile is insane (94th Sparq). Pretty decent route runner at his size, and has a lot of room for improvement. He had a 6.77 3-cone which tells me he can become a good route runner. My favorite wr's were AJ and Deebo, but I actually might like Boykin's ceiling more. Could be great value if we snag him in the 3rd, and I wouldn't be mad if we reached for him in the 2nd.

Boykins is so much better than Metcalf. He's a fluid athlete, whereas Metcalf just looks stiff out there. I'm already hearing rumblings of Boykins going in the 2nd. One guy I trust as an evaluator is Matt Waldman, and he has him as a top 5 wr. He had Pettis as his #1 last year as well, and he might actually be the best out of last year's class.

I’ll trust Shanahan on this but I hated this pick. Not sure what’s happening with Hakeem Butler but I would’ve taken him instead. I like Deebo a lot but would’ve preferred AJ Brown....once again hope Kyle knows best.
I do feel bad that we left some guys who I think could’ve started for us were left on the board.

We could still get a really good safety with our 4th pick.
Hurd pick kind of a head scratcher but honestly I didn’t know much about him. Reading through the scouting reports on The Draft Network they love this guy. Basically has a bunch of untapped potential because he played RB his whole life until a couple seasons ago. He’s shown some natural fluidity as a receiver. But it sounds like we like him as a tight end.
Bottom line is that I trust Shanny and the WR position is gonna be a fun battle to watch in camp.

So with the 2nd pick tomorrow we have a lot of good options imo. Guys that could compete for a starting spot day 1 could be safeties Chauncey Gardner-Johnson out of Florida and Deionte Thompson out of Alabama. I’d really like Thompson. He’s shown a lot of flashes, but I think he fell due to injury concerns. Amani Hooker is also intriguing and I wouldn’t mind him either.
Then there is Mack Wilson, LB out of Alabama that isn’t a huge need for us but would be a nice value for the 4th round.
And someone I could see us taking is CB Amani Oruwariye. He’s a big, athletic and smart corner that would fit nicely in a zone scheme.
