So I plan on competing later this year, need at least 3-4 months, So probably sometime around September.
My goal is to make it under 200 lbs and compete at that weight class, at least for a few years.
My question is the following:
What are some "decent weight" on each event that I should strive for in each event?(I know doing better is always good, but I'd like to have some numbers in my head for a 200 lb weight class.)
If you could, give me a Max and 10 reps for each event(Specifically for the 200 lb class, will need different answer for moving events).
Log Press
Axle Clean and Press
Circus Dumbell
Atlas Stones(Assume an average height to load, what ever that would be.)
Farmers Walk(Just a good general weight for what I should be able to carry on this)
Yolk(Same as Farmers)
Husafell Carry
etc....

Just find out what the weights are for the contests and then train a little bit heavier. Good is relative and the 200 lb weight class especially can be packed with some very disproportionately strong guys or there can be a bunch of average competitors.
-For log and axle, if you can hit 250ish, you'll place well.
-If you can hit all 5 stones, you'll usually place top 3. The weight of the stones always depends on what the promoter has.
-Farmers and yoke are all about speed, regardless of the weight. If you can't be fast, you will not finish well.
-Husafell is such an odd event. Not many contests have it and the ones that do only have one. Just pick it up and go.Bravery and stupidity are often synonymous. So are cowardice and intelligence.

Log Press 140KG (120kG x 5) (130KG x 3)
Axle Clean and Press 135KG similar to log
Circus Dumbell 85KG (70KG x 6)
Atlas Stones(Assume an average height to load, what ever that would be.) 160KG
Farmers Walk(Just a good general weight for what I should be able to carry on this) 130KG x 40M
Yolk(Same as Farmers) 330KG x20M
Husafell Carry never really done it in 5yrs of strongman (110KG Once in a medley)
these numbers are my PB's and i managed 3rd in Britains Strongest man U90k.
I couldn't hit anywhere near this when i started. Your first show IMO should be about having fun and getting stuck in to see if you like Strongman you have a decent enough base of strength for that based on your sig. Use the Time until your to learn Techniques and continue getting stronger youll be fine572/340/660
