We're about three weeks away from kicking things off at the 2016 NFL, which means that right about now fans from every hopeless football franchise are talking themselves into believing that some top prospect is going to come in and resurrect them from NFL purgatory (Unless you're a Pats fan).
So here's the deal: In the spirit of all things bodybuilding and all things NFL, I want to see who you guys think was/is the best physical specimen in the NFL past or present.
Tell me who. Tell me why. And let's throw up some memes, pictures, or videos to keep this thing interesting!
LETS GO!

going with LeRon Landry...
Height: 6’1″ Weight: 213
Beast Factor: 40 yard dash: 4.37, 39 inch vertical jump, 425-pound bench press, 500-pound squat, 286-pound power clean.
Landry has got to be the most jacked/ripped NFLer ever. he is also the most absurdly stupid: after being suspended for four games for failing a PED test in 2014, LaRon made the only sensible decision he could, and continued to roid the **** out. This resulted in a 10 game suspension in 2015 and the basketball-sized biceps you see above.
but then again, this promo isnt asking for the player with the highest IQ, is it?

I just think he's one of the Super Athletes that only come along every 50 years... From what I've read, he didn't train like the guys today, but just had that "Natural ability"... Then again I'm bias, because he is my football/baseball hero...
No kidding... =(
Brian, post up some hockey players so we can see how they stack up

Not at all, but feel free to post someone else if you like...
Nothing against your choice, but as a father and someone abused as a child, i just can't get behind him at all... Now I could go on about my thoughts on disciplining a child, but anything that lands your child in the hospital is wrong and I'm a spanker too...
Carry on

my favorite AP story is from a few years ago when he had to have ACL surgery following that bad injury in the 2013 (maybe?) season. The doctor said that after he made his initial incision he couldnt believe what he saw because it looks like he had the joints of a 16 year old. He has to be around 30 and he still looks like he has another year or two at his peak left. The thing with these guys is that once they go they lose it all at once. He'll go from superhuman to completely mortal in a single offseason

there was a rumor going around last year that he said he wanted to make a comeback to the NFL. I'm glad that didnt happen. We wouldve had a whole month of ESPN coverage and HBO hardknocks following him around and watching him get destroyed by some 340 DT who runs a 4.8

ScottRoland and I had this discussion before about another non NFL athlete, but for me I just completely separate on the field and off the field (or court, or ring, or whatever). I'm a fan of the sport because I like to see the highest level athletes compete on the biggest stages. I just couldnt care less what they do when they are not competing.
I'm not giving anyone a pass for anything. If you break the law or get caught on video saying and doing something stupid thats on you. And if that off the field stuff causes them to miss game time thats when I have an issue. But for me, there just isnt any crossover between their citizen life and their lives as athletes. I dont tune in to see morality. I tune in to see the best competition. And if AP gets sentenced for child endagerment or something that just means Im watching the vikings to see if Matt Asiata or Jerrick McKinnon can get first downs instead of him.Team GAT Representative

everyone makes fun of punters as wimpy, non-athletes that are necessary evils on each NFL roster. well, let me introduce you to Steve Weatherford of the NY Giants. at 6'2" and 230 pounds, with meticulously shaped symmetrical muscle and a scant 5% body fat, he is a perfect example of an overused term: a freak. Judging by the standards of the IFBB’s physique division, no one in the NFL is fitter or as ripped as Weatherford—in fact, no one’s even close.
it has also been rumored that Weatherfords supplements of choice are all GAT products!
see what i did there?

Not entering the contest, but JJ Watt:
Ranked #1 Player of 2015 and he played last season with a messed up groin and a fractured hand, did not miss a game!
He's been the defensive player of the year for 3 of the past 4 years.
First player to get 20+ sacks in two different seasons.
4 time pro-bowler.
He's also really hot, srs.
And, he just comes across as a really great guyYou can't help the hopeless.
