Clearly I need to learn more about California... I had no idea we had a volcano! Also I think it's easier for me to remember SoCal since there was such a Spanish influence for places, whereas it's.... pretty wonder bread in northern Cali. I'd like to make the trip out with my gf. But we'll either fly up or rent a car. Long trips in either of our cars sucks.
BTW, apart from boo, does anyone keep in touch with caroline? Anyone know if she's alright. I haven't seen her post in a few days. Or boo kidnapped her and took her to Vermont for the maple syrup and complimentary hotel apples.

I'm right here! Is boo taking me to Vermont? boo? I love apples and maple syrup, let's go!
Haha I leave for my vacation next week actually
I've been a little bit preoccupied these last few days with work and also because my grandmother is in the hospital. The family has been in a bit of a panic as it took a lot of convincing to get her admitted. We're still trying to diagnose the issue (originally we thought that she had had a stroke or a series of minor strokes) and it's a little bit up in the air.
Thanks for checking in How are you guys doing?6/14/16 Necon was right about something.

Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Always nice when you take a massive dump and suddenly you're 5 pounds lighter.
I'm catching up on sleep right now, wish I could bank some of it.
She wants to drop weight for a friend's wedding that she's a bridesmaid in. I won't let her try until 6 weeks after. And even then she's going to be burning through calories breastfeeding.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

When's your due date, Jd?
And I'm of the belief that if wifey ends up holding onto some weight after having the baby it's not a big deal. I think she'll really be surprised how active one is with a newborn. Pushing a stroller, preparing meals, etc., it's a lot of schlepping!6/14/16 Necon was right about something.

She's due Nov 15th. I'm not worried about her holding on to some baby weight, her blood work is spectacular mostly due to the muscle she built in high school. We're both rather big people and will remain that way, just don't need to be AS big as we had gotten.
And I do the cooking, that's awfully sexist of you to assume she cooks.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

Never realized how many people I know are in November. My friend here at work is the 15th, my wife's niece is the 17th, and now you.
What sucks is this. Wife's birthday is September 25th, Anniversary is October 3rd, Now the kid's birthday in November, Christmas in December.
I will spend from my birthday through the Holidays working overtime to pay for all of this.
TFW, I get paid salary... No overtime.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

That has to suck; this month i get my next raise, and it will be ~7.5%. I'll see about $250-300 take home on each check; and one OT shift will be up to about $300 take home.

They were GOAT. Didn't even feel full/regretful after finishing them either. Romanian Deadlifts came up a dream this morning.
Almost had my first donut today, free donuts at work, by the time I got there they were all gone.
..
Having the worst time with my old bank at the moment. They provided me with false information, which has left my account in horrific shape. They've accepted liability but won't compensate it to the full tune. Madness.

Shoot. Lol, I'm not really sure if I can do it justice by cliffing it, but some random interesting points made:
- the max recoverable volume is used in the context of someone's goals, not necessarily someone's absolute physiological max recoverable volume (MRV)
- if you're getting stronger consistently week by week, you're not pushing towards your MRV
- if you're complaining about a deload, there's a good chance you don't need it, nor will you benefit from it (hi 531 noobs)
- volume is best measured when staying at the same intensity area. For example, it doesn't really make sense to compare volume of 50%x5x10 to 85%x3x5
- layne is fukin nuts (in a good way)ig: @monkaycrak
