    Casey writes a log again.

Hello everyone, I lift thing, heavy things, up, and down, and up and well you get it.

I have not kept a log here in a while but now seems like a good time to start again. I have two big contests coming up in June and I feel it will be beneficial to log my impeding progress.

First contest is USS nationals on June 11th. Last year I made a few mistakes (like dropping a log on myself) and ended up taking third in the LW(181) division. This year I am doing a full prep for this show and way more event work. I would like a national championship win.

Second Contest is OSM gaints live log/dl world Championship on June 26th at 80kg(176lbs) In the past I have been the Nas national dl record holder, am the Current record DL holder with 640@181 and have hit a 290 log and 315 PP. Top three here quailfy for 80kg worlds strongest man. I feel pretty confident here but having an oversized ego has killed me in the past.

Some past contest finishes over the years
    1410@165
    1475@181
USS National DL record holder 640@181
USS 18'' Dl Record holder 900@198
Third at USS nationals 2015 181 class
    Third USA classic/gaints live 2015 181 class.
    Third Plat+ Chicago 2015 175

Have been getting back to training hard after dealing with a torn bicep (muscle not tendon) and back issues. If a little guy lifting heavy things interests you, please follow along.

Got a bit of training in today to get back on schedule. Hit log yesterday too so didn't push it tonight.

    AMARP in a minute
    Viper press every rep
    145 x 11

    Tricep press downs
    3 x 10 @ 50lbs

That was pretty much it. Have been getting over a cold this last week so training has been low. Wednesday is heavy DL Suited and Sunday I am going for a 365 stone to 48''. Loaded a 345 at the end of a stone medley to 50'' last weekend so I am feeling good about it. This stone is what caused my bicep injury last July.

Am weight was 192. Trying to slowly work back down to 187ish. Am down from 202 from about two months ago.

Extreamly happy with today. Have not pulled over 600 in a long while and matching my pr with some room is a good sign for what is coming in June. I have the vid on my phone, still trying to find the cord. Really wanting to pull 700@80kg come contest day.

    Saturday
Tried log pressing. My body and attitude were not having it.

    Sunday Strong man Sunday
    Conan wheel
worked up to 500lbs for 1.75 turns. I hate this event so i might start training it twice a week.

    Stones to 48"
    155
    135
    345
375 missed the load. This was still a big mental pr as this stone tried to eat my bicep about 6 months ago.

Deload week time. I have come to find these more needed now. Weight was under 190 at one point but is back to about 193
