"If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

You like to complain about people using straw men, but that's a prime example. My post never said that, it said that it got worse under Obama, nothing about it having become extinct beforehand. You staged a reply to something that wasn't said in order that you could further your own viewpoint, whilst completely ignoring the actual comment.
Answer the question: have racial tensions increased under Obama? If the answer is yes, do you believe that to be in no way related to the fact that a cornerstone of his election campaign was racial politics?Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!

I was thinking Jerry Springer.
I've noticed with my kids that when they get together in groups they always gravitate to behaving collectively in a way that most resembles the worst behaving child of the bunch (sometimes my own kid) and this appears to be the case with political parties or groups formed by allegiances to personalities or specific ideologies. I find it repulsive.2 + 2 = 5 (for extremely large values of 2)

You're a funny dude, you used a straw man against me to make your point in the last comment to me, you even admitted you were "setting the stage for your next comment." I guess I feel right into your trap.
Now to clarify, I have seen a lot of comments lately about racism being all but eradicated, your comment insinuating such as well and was close to what I have been hearing. I personally don't think it has gotten any worse under Obama.

Society has varying and conflicting interests; what is called objectivity is the disguise of one of these interests - that of neutrality. But neutrality is a fiction in an unneutral world. There are victims, there are executioners, and there are bystanders... and the 'objectivity' of the bystander calls for inaction while other heads fall.

lol... I dabbled with it in my first year at uni but couldn't stand the smell! I've some hardcore south african friends who love the stuff so every few years when we meet up I would indulge in a couple of reefers. Screws me up for days though.
So how comes you don't drink? Don't like the taste or other religious/health reasons?Society has varying and conflicting interests; what is called objectivity is the disguise of one of these interests - that of neutrality. I tend not to talk to much about myself and I won't bore you with the details, but since you brought it up...
From the age of 21 to 29 I was prescribed numerous medications to help deal with some anxiety and ptsd I had acquired during my time in the service (I fully understand being unable to cope as a character flaw). The side effects on the medications I was taking could at times be more severe than what it was treating, ranging from extreme mania and paranoia to suicidal thoughts. I admittedly had a difficult time functioning as a human being.
I smoked for the first time at 28 years of age. Within 6 months I no longer felt the need to take the other meds. I attempted to get a prescription but ptsd is not an eligible condition in NH. I don't drink and the last time I was high was probably close to 10 years ago.
If you are at all interested in the events leading up to my medication, feel free to send me a message. There are some things I'd rather not share on a public board.Last edited by acrawlingchaos; 03-18-2016 at 12:34 PM.

Serious post incoming, ball busting set aside, your regular scheduled programme will resume shortly.
You can see some of that from your posting patterns. At various times you have a persecution complex and are obviously manic, becoming more concerned with "winning" than actually discussing the subject. You have done things like tell people to suck on a shotgun iirc. I imagine that your first response to my post was quite vitriolic, but you stepped back and took a deep breath before posting.
I don't know whether forums are a good or bad thing for you; whether they are more of a release valve or a rabbit hole that you lead yourself down.
Right, back to busting balls and prodding you with a stick.Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!
