Goldbergs Squash of Y2J

What the hell was the point?? Jericho is too much of a talent to waste like that. He should have been crowned the new Undisputed Champion last month. He, Triple H and perhaps Kane are the only guys who can carry that title - and whats more, its pretty sad when you have to be carried to a squash match like Goldberg was. Plus, throwing Jericho onto the ropes like he did is ****ing dangerous, and that Body Press to Front Slam was also screwed by Goldberg - I only hope Jericho didn't injure his knee taking that move. Goldberg would do well to take some lessons on how to deliver the GORE and still protect the opponent from Rhyno. If Goldberg doesn't drop the title in the next two months and realise what his place is in the company, I'm gonna be pissed off. I certainly won't make a point of sitting through another Goldberg title defence unless its against a decent opponent.

I think Goldberg should drop the title to Jericho. But it should be at the PPV not the following night. Also i would be worried about that stiff kick more than the sloppy slam.

I didn't want to mention the stiff kick because I would have kinda let the expletives fly, and apparently thats bad for E-Karma. People get pissed off.
I know that Kane held a title for 24 hours before dropping it to Austin; what makes Goldberg better than Kane of that era?

it didnt do anything for Kane. And unless its dropping the title right back to the previous champ it usually ruins the title's credibility (ex. Austin loses to Mic Foley, Foley loses to HHH, didnt work too well).

Yeah, I see where you are coming from and thats the only problem I'd have with Jericho taking it from Goldberg so early - which begs the question, why wasn't Jericho crowned Undisputed Champ a month ago?

B/C HHH is a douche bag. Hates Jericho. And probably planned on holding the belt for the next 5 years, since he wasn't planning on taking time off to get married and heal an injury.

I can't see that myself. From what I have understood he does what is right for business - I mean sure, he has power - I won't deny that, but if he knew it was gonna be good for business he'd drop the title to Jericho. He's finally made the title worth something, and it would be far better putting the title on someone worthy and someone who can actually work a match, rather than a squash match machine that has all the talent of a stoned puppy dog.

then why didnt he veto the katie vick angle w/ his power or running over a damn bulldog.

Also then why other than Goldberg has he only lost the title to HBK in the last year, and considered losing to Nash (while not jericho, kane, and rvd).

Thats true, good points. I don't have a proper answer for the Katie Vick angle, but the bulldog wasn't a huge event that changed the course of the business. Katie Vick was ridiculous, but it gave him an opportunity to be funny.

Kane may have been able to carry the title, RVD is just ridiculous. HBK was simply because they are friends, I admit that, but again, this reign has given the title some credibility and the next guy to win it would have been pushed to the stars. Shame it was wasted.

I think what BigKaz was getting at was that doing angles to make all viable contenders look like **** can have no positive effect on business at all, I think HHH knew that but as long as he looked good in the process and held on to the belt, he didn't care. I mean, Jericho has only had a peek at the main event scene since his feud with HHH that was based on bulldogs and hand-lotion, and in the mother of all ****-ups saw Stephanie in the Wrestlemania title match. Then Kane has been in a downward spiral since feuding with HHH, he's getting his ass kicked by Shane now.

Yeah, I see where he's coming from with that point too. He still puts people over though, just not in title matches. Plus, you won't find another wrestler out there IMO that makes the other guys look as good as he does in the match - he's not afraid to run from the fight to make the other guy intimidating, or use underhand tactics in order to gain a tainted win and make the opponent look as though he is unbeatable without that sort of **** going on.

Yeah it was, I think him and RVD are set to steal the show next Monday night. I just hope the match goes to a finish with no interference, and gets a good 30 minutes to develop.

Its funny, RVD can have good matches, but they are with guys like Jericho and Christian. Jericho and Christian are the two show stealers on Raw without a doubt, and if they decide to screw this Y2J title push hopefully they'll let us see Jericho and Christian do battle for the IC Title in a Ladder Match, ala Jericho and Benoit. Those were ****ing amazing.

Those were some bad ass matches, I was hoping Austin would make it a Triple Threat ladder match with Jericho involved, but if he's gonna get a title push he can stay the hell away from the IC belt in that case.

Exactly. As I said before, he doesn't deserve to be misused, and WWE cannot afford to misuse him. He had some decent offence I spose, but it was not a good match at all - again, proving that Goldberg has no ring psychology or match flow.

Goldberg doesn't have any credibility. 173 guys in a row laid down for him in WCW. Triple H lost the title, Goldberg never won it. Jericho lost his match on Raw, Goldberg never won it.

BTW, whats up with this 'Its about time' **** he mouthed during his intro on Raw?? You cannot sit at home on your arse for two years cashing cheques, waltz into a wrestling company and expect the title - this dickhead will be in for a shock pretty damn soon....

That stiff kick he gave to Jericho coming off of the turnbuckle last night was bad enough. Throwing him onto the ropes, then hitting that Front Slam and folding Jerichos knee under him was just the icing on the cake, so to speak.

his intro on raw was ridiculous. i never heard something dumber. sounded like the crowd thought that too. this is sad coz it's what will gonna happen week after week until he drops the belt, hopefully to jericho.

but Kane should have gotten the title after his push began
only he should have stayed a loner face not a Heel
another heel on raw is too much
and a face Kane could have OWNED HHH and made the title very important
sadly the wwe dosn't understand much (kane is in a long lasting fued with the bosses kid, and godlberg has the title)
