His physique was undoubtedly sub-optimal in the pre-judging... but how do you think he looked at the night-showing relative to prior competitions? Do you think he was anywhere near his best? How do you think he compared to, say, the 2012 Mr Olympia or the 2010 Arnold Classic?

Was Kai anywhere near his best in the latter half of the Arnold? (pics)

Real talk: if Kai was near his best, Cedric couldn't have been four points away from winning.
We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.
You can't stop us. You can't hold us back.

He looked even better at the Finals than he did at the prejudging, but his gut was still hanging out in many poses. It seems like as he just doesn't care about the protruding gut or he just can't hold it in.

You said in a different thread that Cedric was or was just about at his all-time best and I agree with you.
Most people believe that Cedric at his all-time best could beat just about anyone, some people taking it further.
I disagree but what I do recognize is that Kai beating Cedric at his best speaks highly of Kai as opposed to a blemish on his track record.
This example is a bit of an exaggeration but this is how I see it in my opinion. I feel it's in the ballpark of if Kai beat a "on" Ramy. Kai's position as #1 contender wasn't threatened as much as Kai showing he could take on Cedric's potential.Last edited by Nep2une; 03-06-2016 at 08:32 PM.

Kai was noticeably flat in the prejudging and looked a little rusty with his posing/confidence etc...however he filled out and peaked perfectly for the finals...I say he was at his all time best...his "gut" was in check and never let it out during transitions etc. or while hitting poses...I was watching and he really was working his ass off to hold it under control even flexing the abs during a few poses where normally does not...;-) I say this was the best Kai yet hands down!! The dry grainy separated muscle was better than anyone else's on stage..

id personally rather have a longer, leaner looking physique, of course your going to have muscle, its bodybuilding , so i ask , who would you rather look like physique wise?
and that most likely is who you will pick as your winnerDisclaimer: The above post is my personal opinion and does not represent the official position of any company or entity. It does not constitute medical advice.

Imo Kai's FDB is a thing of absolute beauty. I think his midsection is looking more and more like it did back in the days. His waist is wide but I wouldn't go as a far as saying he's got a distended gut. Sure, in poses where he flexes his lumbar region a lot it protrudes, but whose doesn't. Imo he looked amazing at the Arnold, Cedric too though.
