50/50 on everything we own.
We both started with virtually nothing and EVERYTHING is in joint names.
Edit: Also, I have a pretty hefty life insurance policy on her. She sloots, she dies in debt free with a few hundred grand in the bank Hehehehe.

oooooo LAAAWWDD! storytime:
A friend of mine (lol me) bought a brand new limited edition exploder in 2013 brand new off the lot with every option i wanted/color/leather/etc you could even change the color of ligthing for the fuking cup holders. anyway, sloots gon sloot after 8 years of marriage, i did everything tactical with as much as i could, ended up getting the house and retaining my mustang (vtec yo), and paid off most the marital debt and took the other cards so i could keep my good credit rating. I told this broad i would continue to pay on the explorer so i knew my kid was in a safe car and i knew she couldnt afford to keep up with the payments (average work odd job dependasaurus with no real responsibilities.)
She tells me straight up to go fuk myself that her new bf as going to give her everything she needed. My lawyer wrote in the language of the separation agreement that i would not be held liable for any payments and she had 18 months to refinance. Two months later her glorious new boyfriend boots her out of his house because his wife is coming back home from afghanistan, then he bounces to michigan right after she gets home, she comes crying to me about wanting to come back home and changing her evil ways blah blah bullchit. yeah right im taking this hoe back and i literally laugh in her face and then send her pics of the 18 year old ive been banging with my cawk in her butt(mature i know).
Anyway, i go to get another SUV because my mustang is ridiculous in the snow and a danger to be ferrying my son around. i sit down and the finance dude comes back and is like, "you have a repossession on your credit." fuking wat m9-1? im like na m8- this has to be the wrong person my credit is excellent. NOPE this bitch had called the bank and had them fwd everything to her chithole one bedroom crackhead apartment complex to hide the fact she wasnt paying on the vehicle. she wasnt even in that apartment anymore and had been moving constantly from new guy to new guy for months just to have a place to sleep. apparently USAA had been looking for the vehicle and couldnt find it because she didnt have a solid address, the whole time she was still driving it around. so i did the responsible thing and had them send a repo guy to my house and then showed them where she lived at the time. of course she was parking it away from the residence to hide it but they ended up snatching it up and she had to buy an early 2000's suzuki POS, with i chit you not walmart spinners spray painted black.
Since my name was on the loan my credit took a massive hit and i had to file bankruptcy as a result and essentially start all over after being responsible and building my credit for ten years. I was medically retired out from the military and collect VA/CRSC and no one can garnish my wages, so even though my credit was destroyed and it negatively affected my entire life the only way i can go after her legally is if my wages get garnished, which they cant be.
Its been three years and im over everything so i offered to pay for the bankruptcy and give her the chance to start anew without the explorer screwing up her life. AGAIN she tells me to go fuk myself that her life is none of my business. When i found everything out i called USAA and changed everything back into my name and barred her from accessing anything from then on. I still get letters from collections companies demanding payment for the remaining storage fees and to pay off the negative balance from the vehicle sale. altogether it's around 22k, i have a court appointed decision maker involved in my case and she is getting abslutley rammed in the ass with no lube for that chit, but all in all nothing will really be done to her because in the court systems eyes she is just a poor woman who deosnt make as much money as ex husband and shouldnt be held accountable for chit. I asked my legal counsel if it was me that did what she did and he said i would most definitely would be held in contempt of court and more than likely jailed if i couldnt come up with the 22k within the court ordered timeframe which is usually 30 days.
EQUALITY!
not saying it will happen to you whoever ironmanlet quoted, but it can champ and if it does you are F-U-K-T'd hombre.

Oh jeez theres always one potato in every thread who spouts this BS. BRB never going on vacation, buying my clothes from KMart, eating McDonalds and using a flip phone because its the bare minimum to get the job done...
I dont judge people based on their cars, but I also dont delude myself into living like a peasant to save every penny. BRB slaving my life away without ever buying anything nice because the MISC says so just LMAO
Haha of jeez. At least it was reliable. Did you ever consider winter tires? My car sucks in the snow too.
You think a savings account worth a truck is something no one else has?
