Same thing happened in my social psych class a few years ago. Prof asked the guys to list some of the qualities they look for in a partner. The list was really short and fairly basic. Then she asked the girls to list what they look for in a partner. It was a huge fuking list.
It's a good thing most girls end up having to compromise quite a bit because what they say they want is usually an "ideal", but who you think you want ideally isn't necessarily the same as who you actually end up feeling attracted to (humanity would have died out otherwise). On some level, deep down, your brain intuitively has a rough idea of who is your best, realistic potential option in a given context. A lot of those 3/10s would probably mire a 7/10 guy hard as fuk if he showed them any attention, even if he didn't fulfill most of their requirements.Books read in 2017: 110
