Last year in Cancun the screaming and shouting "YEAH" everytime they ordered a drink was relentless it was literally all day, it wasn't even if it was just being rowdy like us Brits can get, it was literally "look at me" attention seeking, it was like holidaying with 30 wannabe steve-o's.

East coast brah's seem pretty chill though, a bit more down to earth and a bit more of a dry sense of humour like us.

But yanks as a whole tend to be very approachable and friendly and will always ask you where your from and want to chat, fellow Brit brah's are alot more reserved when it comes to making polite conversation with random strangers.

Europeans like to pretend like they are well informed, but their media presents a biased and distorted view. They also don't really understand our history, so they lack context. In addition, they don't really have a strong comprehension of the scale of our country.

This is why I have to skip back 200+ years in time to explain to people why things are the way they are. And the response is usually "Oh".

Most of the time, they even forget the roles their own countries or neighbors have played. They think topics like the Vietnam War or Israel are all the result of US policies.

They don't really understand that we exist as a country because we had a revolution that really involved the common folk rising up and using their weapons, but that it also didn't devolve into senseless killing.

They don't get that the successful colonies were composed of people that held deeply seated religious views that faced persecution at the hands of the European powers.

They don't get that what they consider a long voyage, we consider a day trip.

What they do understand is what their media and the entertainment biz has spoon fed them, and it's a shame, because they aren't getting the real story.

Maybe if they did, they would demand better from the pillocks they elect.

Honestly, I've mainly been treated like a tourist while traveling, smiling natives looking for money.

I went to a friend's wedding in Germany and met a bunch of his friends.

Whilst Brits are notorious across Europe for their drinking culture club rep style "lad'ish" behaviour they seem to grow out of it where as, in my admittedly limited experience, holidaying with Americans they don't seem to calm down with age from the "Spring break, wahoo!" attitude, maybe it's because Europeans have a more relaxed drinking culture that is experienced at a much earlier age?

But I couldn't imagine my mum screaming at everyone at a bar at 11 in the moring to do "shots" with her.

Now I will defend the whole most Americans don't own a passport aren't well traveled ect... There's a couple of reasons one they don't need to travel, they pretty much have just about every culture and environment in America, secondly Americans don't get as much holiday as Europeans, so I guess the odd weekend in Vegas or Cancun is their opportunity to let loose!?
