My old gym had both a Smith machine and a Jones machine (two tracks). Pretty much the only thing that ever happened on the Jones machine were loud crashing noises because people would fall over trying to squat on it. As soon as they'd start to descend into a squat, it would slide on the horizontal track hard and fast and pull them over backwards. Only thing I've ever seen that made squatting on a Smith machine seem like a good idea.

Ah, okay...thanks for the background. I would actually recommend buying raw powder in bulk...you can get this fairly cheap on Amazon (not sure if I'm allowed to post specifics on bb.com boards but PM me if you want a link). This allows you to measure much more accurately...I don't like capsules/tabs because they make it much harder to micro-dose.
Receptor desensitization isn't something to worry about, particularly if you are not going above those recommended max doses and doing so in an ED fashion.
Yeah, there is no getting around the fact that Yohimbine HCL can be a harsh supplement for some. I'm particularly immune from supplement sides and yet it can still get me if I'm not careful. It's always so odd to have goosebumps but yet still be sweating after LISS
Absolutely! In fact, I was as infrequent as 2x per week during my last prep...I've found folks have greater experiences tapering up both the dose and frequency when introducing it into a supplement stack. So, let's say your goal is 12mg/day...start out at 4mg/day for the first week, assess. Increase to 8mg/day for the second week, assess. If things are still going okay, then increase to 12mg/day and run it as long as is required. I also recommend dropping it 7-10 days out as it does have a tendency to cause water retention (particularly in females I've noticed).
Where Yohimbine HCL shines is in its ability to antagonize (suppress) alpha2 receptors (those known to hold onto stubborn fat). So it can actually make those stubborn areas noticeably tighter...http://stackingplates.com

Get yohimbine HCl instead, yohimbe bark has a million other alkaloids besides yohimbine and you risk worse side effects. Or if yohimbine HCl still f***s you up (it does for many people), try alpha-yohimbine (aka rauwolscine). Though many people can't tolerate it at all, and the side effects aren't worth it.
Dose it fasted or at least 3 hours after eating, otherwise it works opposite to how you want. Short half-life though, you're good to eat 30-60 minutes after taking it.
Start at a low dosage (2.5mg/day) and work your way up to 0.2mg/kg of body weight gradually...though some people will be able to handle small doses and are never alright with taking higher doses, in which case you can try split dosing it, or just stop at the low dosage.Olympus Labs Representative

Thank you all for the great info, that bottle cost a pretty penny already, I feel kind of bad throwing it away and spending more money on a different one. We'll see.
Yesterday was chest and shoulders day, I felt good and needed less rest than usual between sets.

Ah, those moments when you look at your food diary and think "uh, why do I have so many calories left today, did I really eat that little?" and then at the last moment you realize you didn't count that side of rice... they call it "diet brain" for a reason. Well at least I figured it out in time, before I blew my calories for the day.Follow my 2018 competition prep here:

yey, welcome!!!
Thank you!! I can't say no to you, so next round of pics there will be goofy heel posing lol
Yesterday I went to the local 24 hr Fitness to do legs, and I guess it was everybody's legs day because getting hold of some equipment was ridiculous. So the name of the game was keep doing sets on whatever equipment you managed to get hold on, keeping an eye for something else to open up, etc. That's how I ended up doing like 6 sets of leg press, 10 sets of leg extensions, another 10 sets of calves, and 4 sets of lying leg curls. No squat rack available the whole time
At least while I was doing leg extensions I had some eye candy to look at, this dude that looked awesome and ripped as phuk started doing bent over rows like right in front of me, and I had to use all my will power not to slap his tight perky azz, oh well, cold shower after that...

So I started to lazily look around for a suit for this competition. In my last 2 comps I wore very dark colors, but I noticed brighter colors stand out better on stage. With red hair I know green would be the best choice, but I don't like green, I don't think I own a single piece of clothing in green. I was more inclined toward fuchsias and purples, as long as it's not "princess pink" which I dislike even more thank green LOL.
So here's some color options I was considering.
Any comment appreciated!Follow my 2018 competition prep here:

Saleyla?
I like the purple color, in general I prefer darker colors for the majority of people. And I like the shark teeth design on the pink suit. Did not even know they could do that half-bottom thing that's in the second and third pictures with a figure suit, always just thought that was a bikini thing...anyway, that's kind of interesting, but I'd be way afraid of flashing everyone because Bikini Bite is worthless.Olympus Labs Representative

Had to look it up because I had no idea this was a thing, and there's only like three youtube videos for it meaning it can't be the most popular thing. After watching one, I can see how people would fall over, it just seems like nonsense. Even a SM I can see uses for.
I like the third one's color in general, but for a comp I prefer the darker color on number two.PRs: 95lbs/126lbs/212lbs

Yes! I bought from them before and had a good experience. Their suits are affordable (seriously how much can 2 postage stamp sized pieces of clothes sewn together cost???) and their web site is very user friendly. Of course there are more beautiful suits out there, I am thinking TMarie.
Another I am looking at is Muscle Dazzle, they have some amazing suits at fairly reasonable prices, but they take something like a month and a half from order to having it in your hands, and let's face it, in that time your body changes radically so what if it fits badly? If anyone has had experience with them, I'd love to hear it!

I feel like these companies are pretty good at predicting body changes. I went Ravish Sands last time and they needed the measurements like 10 weeks out. They guessed really well and the suit ended up fitting pretty perfectly. The shape of the bottom isn't my favorite (doesn't come as high on the sides as some others which IMO is less flattering), but other than that came out great. And yeah, TMarie is gorgeous but $$$.

oh my - 12 weeks out excitign!
for suits i know nothing but prefer the colors on 1 and or 2
going away back to smith machine talk they are used at my gym all the time I see some common things sissy squats and behind back shrugs, but tons of other stuff from upright rows, to what I call bouncy squats, to jump squats to bouncy jump split lunge things, to the one where they are kneeling (?) donkey kickbacks (?) from the floor on back leg presses - on a bench on back under leg press almost except whole ass off bench too...) probably more I could prbably stand there for an hour and video tape all the things that happen on the smith machine

Those are under $300????? Wtf before I scrolled down I was like "oh those are awesome, but they're probably $500-700 suits. Any reviews around? If they get the sizing right, those are really nice.

Good grief, the suits are beautiful but I'm so glad we don't have to wear skimpy stuff in powerlifting lol. And considering the average powerlifter, it would be a terrible sight anyway
My vote is on a purple suit, it would be striking with the red hair. I hate green too, so you don't have to worry about me pushing that color

Actually skimpy suit's cut is pretty flattering. I'd do posing practice in sports bra and spandex shorts, and then posing practice in bikini, and it was night and day. Singlet, on the other hand, is up there with "clothes my mom picked out for me in the 80s" on list of unflattering things that I've worn.

This is all I found:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/2540849...mpetition-suit
Since they actually post pics of themselves wearing the suits, maybe they are legit reviews?
LOL if you are going to squat or deadlift in one of those, you better have an extra helping of Bikini Bite or you are going to give yourself a wedgie.
I don't know about this lady you are talking about but I am competing again! Glutton for punishment all the way! Welcome Mark!!!

It wasn't even something I noticed until I saw pictures of myself next to people wearing more flattering bottoms. I mean, it's not the reason I didn't win, but it's not like it helped either.
They look like legit reviews, but I'm not sure I like the pictures of the people wearing the suits. The bottoms look like they may have the same issue Ravish Sands have (though it looks like it's mostly bikini suits in the pictures and only one figure suit so hard to tell) and the blue bikini top in the one solo picture fits weird and it looks like it's eating her boobs.Olympus Labs Representative
