I don't know about summer being over in 12 weeks lol. With this global warming or whatever it seems like the last few years it's been summer until October. I have a fantasy football draft every labor day weekend and last year before it started we were in my pool drinking all day because it was 101 degrees. So I say better late than never and get on it.

ehhh pretty accurate about some stuff
basic diagram here explains most of his chit
MTor signalling pathway stimulates protein synthesis in muscle
gets stimulated by growth factors from muscle contractions when you lift.
Eating leucine alone can stimulate mtor itself without lifting
lifting + leucine = maximizing protein synthesis.
spacing out leucine intake throughout the day = more protein synthesis than degradation = more growth.

This.
If your maintenance is 2500 calories, you'd eat somewhere between 2500-3000 calories depending on how comfortable you are with going into a surplus I suppose.
Moderate protein - if you're eating 150g/day, drop to 100g
Low fat - 20-40g will be fine. Trace sources of fat are in nearly anything, so you'll end up with some.
Max them carbs son. Most coming from complex sources. Minimize the fructose. It has something to do with the liver IIRC but I can't remember quite why fructose isn't very efficient at filling glycogen stores.
The UD2.0 book gave a more detailed response, but that's a basic outline
Granted, the UD2 refeed is extreme because you're completely depleted of glycogen. Unless you've had 0 carbs for some time, you're not devoid of glycogen.

anybody works labor/construction or a highly active job? what do your calories look like? I definitely have to go above the 1800-1900 range I used to be at to cut.

That explains the leg shape/lack of hair.
It's a good guide with some good info, but lol @ nitpicking that hard as a natural.
May as well lift for 10 years, eat well and make gains vs go insane with meal timing and be a lunatic because you missed the 30 minute anabolic windowEveryone can talk chit on the internet until they encounter a 6'7 framed Dorian Yates barndoor boeing747 turtle back freak of nature who drives over 200+ on the autobahn

now that I think about it, got a question:
I've been on a normal diet (moderate carbs) for a long time recently tried lifting 6x a week with post workout cardio, but I ended up needing to refeed every 3rd-4th day (I couldn't handle the hunger or even finish my cardio.. was weak). It ended up hindering progress.
So what I started now is lifting 3-4x a week with cardio only on off days in hopes of not needing to carb up/refeed as often. However, if I do feel the need, would a carb up at my cutting calories be better as compared to a refeed perhaps 500 calories over my cutting calories?
And for what I was doing before, is that just considered not enough calories for the activity level, was it overtraining, or was it glycogen depletion?
