    Mixing weights

I recently bought some added weights off of amazon. For some reason unlike all their other weights the 25lb weights only sold in singles not sets soni accidently only bought one. Can I run buy a set from a sporting goods store or do I need to order the same brand again?

25 pounds is 25 pounds, no need to buy the same brand.

If you mix the brands of plates then its a bad omen and youll probably screw up your lift...

Srs yeh its fine they might not be the same weights exactly but its close enough

If you use weight plates from different manufacturers it creates muscular imbalances, fries your CNS, and gives you gym ebola.

It's fine OP. They just might have slightly different handles/feel to them.

I think it says in the bible not to mix plates.

    Could be wrong.

In general it won't matter, however not all brands have the same quality control. You'd be well advised to actually weigh both brands to make sure that they are indeed similar weights.

I use three different kinds of plates, but I always balance one for one.
