MyProtein Brownies!

High protein chocolate chip brownie review!

First off thank you so much to MyProtein for hooking me up with not 1 brownie to sample, not 2 brownies to sample, BUT TWO CASES OF BROWNIES TO SAMPLE! This is super generous on their part, and better for consumers because this is truly an honest review. I got to try these in a ton of different ways, and develop an HONEST OPINION ON MY THOUGHTS. When companies send you a single, or just a few servings it is very hard to give an honest review. Therefore, people generally give a positive review despite how good the product was out of guilt just because it was a free trial. So. Kudos to MyProtein for hooking a guy up, and standing behind their product.

All that being said. Even after working through my first case I can still say that these are absolutely fantastic. You honestly can’t even tell difference between these and a regular brownie. In fact, in a blind taste test I bet lots of people would prefer these! I have been having about one a day, and still look forward to its taste; I even try to save enough protein to have a second one most days!

Not to mention the macros. So, these are good sized: 75 grams.
For a generic 75 gram brownie there are 304 calories 12.2 fat 48 carbs 3.6 protein
The MyProtein protein brownie has 287 calories 9.7 fat 27carbs 23 protein
That is awesome!

These are more a “cakey” brownie, but they are dense. They remind me of a flourless chocolate cake in the density and texture. The flavor is sooo good. Not to mention they are incredibly moist; not chalky or chewy like a lot of protein products.
The chocolate chips are a great addition. Right out of the package they are a nice cool chocolate chunk addition, but when you heat up the brownie is where they really are a game changer. Softening these in the microwave and melting the chocolate chips makes these absolutely incredible; the microwave doesn’t alter the flavor or anything.
A few other ways that I tried these besides right out of the package and heated up in the microwave were: Protein brownie ala mode, dipped in milk, with a nice sludge icing, covered in peanut butter (because it goes with everything), and chunked up as a topping for an ice cream sundae.
None of them disappointed me.
Dipping these in milk is very much in line with a regular brownie. They soak up the milk quite nicely and taste incredible.

Overall I was incredibly impressed with this product, and hope to get more in the future!
These are not super "low calorie", but they provide you with more of the calories coming from protein which you want!
In my opinion these are a great replacement for when you are going to binge or really need something sweet.
Or simply a nice high protein treat for yourself! Due to the fact they taste so incredibly,

A little less calories and little less sweet (though still quite sweet). Otherwise very similar, with more limited flavour choices compared to the cookies. But they are both very good IMO.
