Cinematic Trailer:
Backstory:
Original Gameplay Trailer:
Actual Gameplay:
I haven't seen a thread about this already for some reason, but if you're like me you're totally stoked for this game release. This is a thread for anyone--from people contemplating the game, to those who got the opportunity to play the closed beta, and just open up a general discussion for news/developments/etc. We can use this as a matchmaking community area if people are in need of a squad.
I've been hyped for this game since it was originally announced in 2013...after two delays it's been a long wait, but it's finally on the verge of release on March 8th, 2016. The closed beta did nothing but enhance by excitement for it, as it has everything I've enjoyed in games past all in one. It's a cool concept with great game mechanics and a more than capable RPG system. Coming from WOW way back in highschool and getting hooked on COD4 and Warhawk (underrated but extremely fun game) durinig college, this game seems to be the culmination of what I like.
There will be an open beta in the coming weeks (Feb 16-21 [Xbox] and Feb 17-21 [PS4 and PC]) for those of you who didn't get a chance to test out the closed beta.
So welcome Agents, assemble!

In my opinion that E3 trailer needs to go...
Xbox One Gameplay walkthrough of the Beta in 1440p and 60fps video:
** 40% Aesthetics, 55% Autism crew**
Top 5 laundry detergents in the game (don't judge my opinion):
1.Tide (delivers a clean and fresh style of)
2.Oxi clean (attacks dry stains like a monster)
3.all (deserves a spot in the top 5 but not the best)
4.wisk (I respect the stain spectrum tech. But needs to fight harder for that top 3)
5.purex (up and coming in the game)

We had a pretty decent thread here, just a tiny bit of kids mud slinging at the end but still...

Don't we already have multiple The Division threads?
That being said, I can't wait for release. I will be picking it up on PC, as I mentioned multiple times in previous threads, I had a blast in the beta. Despite how fun playing a solo rogue is, I would love to get a solid group together to run some squad game play.
Hands down I will be picking PC over PS4. The connection issues on consoles are always far more pronounced than on PC, and I was able to pump the beta to all ultra settings and I don't think I ever dipped below 60 FPS, even in the massive snow storms.

PC looks to be the winner.
"In terms of options you have everything you might need on a PC game. Frame rate is uncapped, there is multi monitor support, you can modify at your preferences shadows, fog, lens flare and more. HUD is customizable and modular as well, just like in the most popular MMOs, and there is text chat and prox VOIP."

Undecided, but if I do get it, I will personally go for the PS4 version since it is a third person shooter. I prefer FPS on PC** 40% Aesthetics, 55% Autism crew**

Unless they release other game modes that haven't been seen yet the PVP sucks if it's just the dark zone, so far from what I have seen in the beta this will be a solid SP and co-op game, nothing more. If they do add a true PVP mode they need to change mechanics IMO, right now when a human is down in the dark zone it'll take 30-50 rounds right into the skull to finish them off.

My feeling is the put the "Tom Clancy" name on the game when they were originally designing a Day-Z inspired realistic game and then were compelled to keep the name attached even when they decided to make it a Destiny-like game. The Tom Clancy moniker being attached conveys a different type of game to what it actually is.
It graphically and thematically appears realistic but the actual game play couldn't be further from that and is initially jarring. It has elements of tactics in the game, nowhere near Siege levels but you will have to tactically approach more difficult missions and you are required to constantly be in cover.
3 head-shots? More than that. The lower level regular enemies I could 1-2 shot with a high powered blue M1A1 but as far as assault/SMGs go, you're talking at least a full clip in the head to down them.
Good job on the official thread, OP. Looking, thick, solid & tight.
Spoiler!

I've got a question I've not been able to answer and couldn't figure out how to test it.
You know there is proximity voice chat, can you still proximity eavesdrop a full party if they're in party chat? Kinda defeats the mechanic of proximity chat/eavesdropping if you can't do that.
I want to be able to stalk a group listening in on them and follow them incognito style and listen to their plans while they don't know I'm there...

I can confirm that at least on PC, you can listen to groups prox chat even if you are not with them. When I was going solo rogue, I could always hear groups talking to each other while I ambushed them, or after I killed them, or after they killed me. It was pretty entertaining listening to " OH MAN HE'S HERE AGAIN, GUYS WATCHOUT ".

At the same time you can't communicate with randoms on the streets either, or hear what others are saying. I see advantages and disadvantages of it. My buddy quickly decided the in game chat had horrible quality and we used parties, would have been kinda nice to use proximity at times though, a number of guys kinda tagged along and helped us.
Man, I am missing this game, I hope there is another beta before March 8.12-5-23
