Killing the AI isn't so bad and its manageable with practice.
But like the above poster said, the movement animations are retarded. It's like the players have little weight to them and you can just strafe willy nilly. I don't see how developers think their gameplay is good with movement like that. It's just not fun. If players had more weight and movement was a bit more restricted, then it'd probably be better, idk.
If there's another beta coming out I'll be playing to again. Will this 1 be open? Can i get a link? I usually play a game for about 5-9 days before I give my full opinion. Who knows, maybe it take more practice

I have done a few times but I'm sort of reluctant to criticise any big games now because it turns into a chit storm and I get labelled a troll and a hater but seeing as you asked nicely...
- Longevity: There doesn't seem to be anything to do other than shooting enemies whilst in cover. Now initially you might argue "well that's the same for a lot of games" which is true but this is an RPG game with MMO elements and as such we are going to be playing it for far longer than most other cover shooters.
Now take into account that most other cover shooters are set in fantasy worlds and this makes the game-play of The Division even more concerning because:
1. It's shooting mechanics are not A+ like say Destiny's were.
2. The Division can only have human enemies which will lack variety. In Gears of War they can throw a Brumak or a Corpser at you in a crazy fight against some bizarre creature. The Division can't do that.
*I have repeatedly got chit for this next one*
Build Variety: Though it is true that there are a multitude of different builds each with little variances. There are only 3 classes:
1. Medicine (Healer)
2. Security (Defence)
3. Technology (Offence)
None of the perks/skills are going to switch up game-play in any meaningful way and I believe that the community at large will settle into a build of one healing skill and one technology skill of drone/sentry/sticky bomb, modified in the most powerful way.
The 3 classes don't really offer any other way to play, regardless of your build people will still be hiding in cover, whittling their opponents health bar down.
A few months into the game, I feel like you will know exactly what skills you're going to be facing in the Dark Zone.
I would have liked to have seen around 8 classes that offer different play styles and offer more mission variety in the Single Player portion too, for example.
A Firefighter class that could be a PvE specialist with buffs to fire invulnerability to take on the Cleaners. The single player missions could revolve around the player rescuing fire fighters from gangs or rebuilding fire stations/turning fire defence systems back online.
Single Player content: I like to play games on my own, I'm not a fan of organising groups and being stressed out by other people. I worry that like Destiny, The Division is going to shut lone wolves out of the end game content.
In the beta the main mission you did could be played on "Hard" mode and I played through it a few times in a party and the AI wasn't any more sophisticated, it just threw more enemies with bigger health bars at you, like Destiny.
I believe that through the limited play styles and their approach to mission design, the higher level missions will become too frustrating to play on your own and players will be forced to team up to play the end game content.
Similarly, the Dark Zone calmed down towards the end of the beta when everybody had all the gear and there was no reason to grief people but the Dark Zone won't be like that in the real game. It is going to become hell on earth for single players where you face groups of organised griefers that you have no defence against.
I want to be able to sneak into the DZ and sneak out with stuff, but that's impossible. I would ideally like to never have to kill another non-rogue human player, but I will be forced to, many times to defend myself. This is supposed to be a ROLE PLAYING game but I won't be able to role play as an agent that actually wants to restore order.
Loot The loot in The Division is the end game. This means that no amount of exploring will ever reveal anything interesting. Let's say you find a disused subway tunnel hidden at the edge of the map. You pretty much know that nothing interesting will be in there, because the game wants you to fight over the best loot in the DZ.
There is no negative to becoming rogue: The DZ should feel like a tense survival mode, but with the way it's set up it feels like an inconsequential where people just shoot on sight, respawn, run back to fight and carry on shooting. We're supposed to be agents that restore order and yet in the DZ everybody is an anarchic rogue.
I believe this creates a ludonarrative dissonance. The game will continually be telling you how you're saving Manhattan and restoring order, but in reality you know that you're just building XP so you can go rob some kunts in the DZ.

Open Beta Confirmed
Open beta starts Feb 19th for PS4 and PC (Feb 18th for Xbone) and will run through the 21st. I highly recommend anyone who's still on the fence trying it out...for people like me who already decided, it'll be a nice fix to hold off the withdrawals before the full launch
no characters from the closed beta will carry over, so everyone will be starting fresh at level 4. There will be an additional story mission than the one we got in the CB.

and here's a vid about the factions:

Sounds good, here's their chance to actually show us more about the game. If the new mission is just another camp behind cover, kill a few waves of enemies, and then do it again a few times before fighting a super meatshield with nothing interesting about him a lot of people won't be impressed.
I want this next beta to showcase the depth of the skill system (if there is any) and actual fights that require strategy rather than just a gear check.Last edited by ZBlacktt; 02-10-2016 at 11:02 AM. Reason: save space

** 40% Aesthetics, 55% Autism crew**
Top 5 laundry detergents in the game (don't judge my opinion):
1.Tide (delivers a clean and fresh style of)
2.Oxi clean (attacks dry stains like a monster)
3.all (deserves a spot in the top 5 but not the best)
4.wisk (I respect the stain spectrum tech. But needs to fight harder for that top 3)
5.purex (up and coming in the game)

If i'm not already satisfied by the beta? Why do you think Ubisoft is specifically making another beta?
It is because Ubisoft agrees with me. They obviously care about increasing their audience and pre order numbers. For that reason, any amount of new missions would have a great chance to show of the flexibility and replay ability of the game. This was Something the last AAA RPG/Slight MMO Bungie game lacked at launch. In turn, this would help me make an informed decision.
You are a smart guy, so why are you being obtuse? I don't think I am saying anything surprising. After all how long would it take for Ubi to add another mission.** 40% Aesthetics, 55% Autism crew**

In your own words:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...t=customizable
Respectfully, there is no disconnect, You have contradicted yourself. They had an Alpha, and a closed beta, the meaningful 'stress test' days are long gone, the game will be released in about 3 weeks.
To clear some things up, I stand by my original statement, I'm really keen to see how far Ubisoft takes the 'rebuilding of New York'. So yes I would like to see at least another mission in the beta.
I don't want to ruin the experience for myself, but I enjoy discussing the game, wether it is negative or positive.
I was actually pleasantly surprised and saw some new positives in this gameplay video, released last week.
EDIT: Ubisoft must have been reading the misc, new content in open beta confirmed by Podunks

Aw fuk. I deleted the beta because I assumed that the open beta would be the same content.
Am I screwed or will it have saved my Agent on the server? Fuk at having to download 27 GB again, I should have known better.
I have to say I'm impressed with that list of fixes from closed to open beta, they addressed a lot of issues.
I hope the game is going to remember that I played the closed beta...

Ah. Not to much of a disaster then, just a 27 GB download but at least I don't have to be the only person starting over.
Hope the full game rewards people who played in both betas.
I still think it's ridiculous in Europe that the Sleeper Agent Edition doesn't get you the Fire-Fighter/Police & Paramedic outfits
