I think you worded that wrong broseph.
To my knowledge and after watching this video. The map in GTA V is bigger than the division. GTA V was also released on last gen.
He travelled the map in a car, not on foot, which is the only option in TD.
This guy makes amazing video however, very interesting.** 40% Aesthetics, 55% Autism crew**
Top 5 laundry detergents in the game (don't judge my opinion):
1.Tide (delivers a clean and fresh style of)
2.Oxi clean (attacks dry stains like a monster)
3.all (deserves a spot in the top 5 but not the best)
4.wisk (I respect the stain spectrum tech. But needs to fight harder for that top 3)
5.purex (up and coming in the game)

I don't think the E3 2013 gameplay trailer should be eliminated...that was their original vision for the game, and I think they were pretty damned spot-on in their achievement of it. Sure there's a slight downgrade in the amount of junk littering the ground, but everything else works pretty much as planned. No one would have used the tablet interface anyways...second screen co-op is pretty impractical.
notice how the concept of a dark zone was already there in 2013 (you can see three separate DZ's on the map at the end...possible future expansions perhaps?) and the tension triggered when they popped the flair and were attacked by another player group is very real in the final product. It's damned impressive that they got as close as they did to what they originally set out to do.

Yea, I much prefer it to be more of a traditional shooter, or more of a mix anyway, I get the appeal of loot, leveling, gear, etc.... but enemies take more damage than I would like to see, some more balance towards shooter would be nice when the game releases, there are lots of complaints so hopefully Ubi listens.

Like the poster I responded to said, the game was originally geared more towards a realistic shooter, and no, I haven't played a mmorpg because I'm not a virgin living in my mom's basement. Semi-srs. I get everyone likes something different, it's just not for me, I think if they want the RPG elements, fine, but balancing it would make it much more appealing to me. I mean the game sets up such a nice immersive environment then I need to put 50 rounds directly into the chest of a street thug wearing a hoodie to kill them, lame. They wanted a modern realistic environment but if human's are going to take more than 10x bullet damage than what is realistic might as well add wizards and warlocks and make another ******* ass Destiny IMO. I have no idea what ESO is but bullet sponge complaints from the beta can't be missed, they are on every corner of the internet I have seen. Again, I'm not saying remove the levels, gear, loot, etc, just make the modifiers have less effect and in turn you can make a guy go down with 10 shots to the chest and retain that immersive and realistic feel to the whole environment.

Fuark, why am I starting to get the feeling that this game is going to be a total flop at endgame?Carpe diem

What makes you think it will take more strategy rather than just having more enemies with more health, like the hard-mode version of the medical wing mission? Having us repeat the same 10 minute missions on a harder difficulty doesn't sound promising. That's like Destiny's nightfalls being the extent of Destiny's endgame.
The only type of endgame a shooting rpg can have is crafting/loot grinding. And maybe pvp if it's competitive.
As it is, once you try to PvP the game basically becomes a parkour simulator for 5 minutes.
Destiny has raids, but that game has super powers, aliens, and jet pack jumping mechanics. So it makes sense.Carpe diem

This is why I'm not buying on release. They still haven't told us anything about endgame content. I'm pretty sure if they had a raid developed they would at least have mentioned it already. I was not impressed at all with the PvE mission they gave us in the game. Really hoping there is some more interesting stuff.
Challenge mode missions will probably just be gear checks that have enemies with more hp considering that's what they showed us in the beta (normal and hard version mission). Crazy to think but this game might launch with less content than Destiny did.

Logitech is having a promo, buy a mechanical keyboard listed below and get a free copy of Division. Figured there could be people interested, even though those keyboards arent cheap (they are ****ing awesome though). I know I would jump on this right away if this promo came a couple months earlier.

The Division news
The Division Beta Had 22% Of The Full Game’s Map; Dark Zone Is 18% Of The Total Map
After playing The Division beta test, a widespread concern was that the playable area seemed small and the PvE content fairly scarce.
Luckily, Ubisoft released an interactive map of the full game and two enterprising Reddit users took the opportunity to do some very interesting work. Specifically, user MickGasm managed to overlay the beta map (in purple) with the one to be featured in the full game (in blue).
He then switched to grid view and ran the following calculations.
The grid is 115*71, totalling 8165 squares.
The Beta area occupies 1167 squares.
The Launch area occupies 5315 squares.
