Whey protein isolate is a great idea for someone who is lactose intolerant. Check out Dymatize ISO-100. Pure isolate, quality, and some delicious flavors to boot.

Came here to mention to look into an isolate. Blue Star offers Iso-Smooth, in which you get 30g of protein in each scoop. Chocolate Sin and Vanilla Dream are great tasting, and we have 3rd partied tested this protein as well.

Like the others have said, stick to an isolate.
I'm lactose intolerant and I stick with MyProtein Impact Whey Isolate.
Give it a check!

Just throwing this out there as well since there are so many brands and types listed but Magnum Quattro is nut free, kosher certified, lactose free, and gluten free. Also delivers a whopping 30 grams of protein per scoop plus has added CLA and flaxseed.
Here's a quick info video if interested.
