Got into DS2 recently after having rage quit both DS1 and Bloodborne lol (DS2 seemed a lot better introduction difficulty) and I'm absolutely addicted. Love the combat, I'm currently level 122 just wrecked the Mirror Knight boss lol.

This should be good training for when DS3 comes out

This and the new deus ex are about the only things I'm excited for in gaming this year.

bloodborne was my #2 GOTY (after MGSV), so any souls game is gonna be a 10/10 in my book

also, i tried out the network stress test for DS3 and it was amazing

OG Souls fan since 2009, but didn't get to play Dark Souls 1 and 2 until last year.

All great games. Dark Souls 1 is my favorite, followed by Demon's Souls and then DS2. I'm sure Dark Souls 3 will be epic as fuk too.

although not sure why you wouldnt finish DS1. game has a steep learning curve but after you're 50% done, it gets easier

Bro I rage quite Dark Souls 2: STFS legit on the first monster lol

It was that cyclops looking thing if you forget....I fought it like 6 times and get massacred each time. Its only got harder because I wasnt able to take the death orb thing so my health just kept going down. This was like 2 weeks ago, I'll see if I can try again this week, really trying to get into it so I can play Dark Souls 3 :3

It was that cyclops looking thing if you forget....I fought it like 6 times and get massacred each time. Its only got harder because I wasnt able to take the death orb thing so my health just kept going down. I assumed I was too weak for it and went past which I was. Went back later and wrecked those. I think thats part of the learning curve is you don't have to fight everything. Know when to run away lol

^^ Correct. Melee vs those things is pretty difficult, but coming back later after learning Pyromancy, or getting a bow/crossbow, or at least a higher damage weapon makes it much easier to kill them.

it's PURE combat/understanding the moves of the enemy.

Simple game of kill enemies + progress through the levels but the amount of skill and patience to master the game is god-like.

When you die, you know it was ALL on you. No bs mechanics, just pure combat that takes skills and time to master.

PC confirmed. I have never played the other DS games, but apparently they are hard as fuk. Saw some streamers playing Bloodborne and it looks dope. May go back and play the previous games to prepare myself.

I got through most the game with my sword and shield, still haven't bothered with pyromance, I'll probably start jumping into magic on second playthrough. However just did the shrine of amana and holy crap those witches with the homing magic missiles. Don't think I've ever been more frustrated with a zone before. Getting to that second bonfire took me so long. In short had to get a bow and snipe them but that was the first time I really had to bother with ranged combat.

I'm using heavy armor *mirror knight*, pursuers ultra greatsword, and the dragonrider shield i think its called. VIT has had so many level ups dumped into it XD....still below 70% load though so I can roll around

Really excited. I wonder if DS III will be in the past vs the future. Maybe a different area all together.

DSII is my favorite game. I agree with most that combat was better. I like the story of DS better, but the more I play DS II the story on that one is passing it up.

Love both games.

except @ bonfire level 3 the other day i got killed by The Rotten's AOE attack from literally across the map smh.....load of bullsh*t

I need to beat Dark Souls 2 still.

I got up to smelter demon and he wrecked my chit. And I didn't feel like grinding for a few more stats at the time and I just kind of shelved it. Then SotFS came out and haven't started over.
