BLT
Cycle 3 l Week 1 (repeat)
Deads
5 x 155
5 x 185
3 x 225
3 x 265
3 x 295
3 x 335 - Got 2 and F on rep 3
Squats
MF on 210 x 5
A reset is in order. I'm just not here in my head yet. At all! I wanted to do this session yesterday as well and kept finding excuses to not go down to the gym. I want to be back to where I was a month ago but when I get into the gym I'm letting the heavier weights get to me. Even the not as heavy weights with squats. I just stared at the bar, unracked it, racked it, unracked it and did a shaky rep. Warmups felt okay but 210 messed me up. Doesn't make any sense when 275 was a decent rep a few days ago.
I'm going to put BLT on hold, run 351 full body with a 10 percent reset for a couple months and then redo BLT properly. I'm positive if I go into next week with this mentality I'm going to hurt myself or something. Whether I think I can or I can't I'm right makes a lot of sense right now. F'ck. Fighting the urge to walk away completely from strength training and just do some lower weights and high reps for awhile. I know that's not going to be the answer though so I'm resetting and approaching it this way. I'm pretty upset with myself right now. I really wanted to give BLT a full run my first time out. Sh!tty feeling. I'll get through this though and stop all the whining in here soon guys lol

Trying to run a program that builds on the weeks before for its progression needs to be done all at once IMO. I think it would be hard to break any of the program's up with time off between and be successful.
Good idea to just get back into the groove of things and decided your direction once your body and mind are back in full swing.☻/

Yeah I thought I'd be able to do it but this past month was too much of a stressor. I'll be back to normal soon I'm sure.
Man, nobody can finish BLT
That's a huge part of the problem. Now I've only done one long run so far and it was a shorter 3 mile one that I did later in the day but diet has been all over the place in general lately. I need to get sorted out with diet and get myself tracking again properly. That might start getting me a bit more focused again. I don't remember what I had before the run that day but since it was later in the day I'd eaten a bit but in general diet has been garbage. I'm eating better now than I was in January but still definitely not properly.
Thanks Ron. Reset in coming and hopefully ride this wave for a few months and hit that 1000 goal!365 255 480 in April! ...2019

I like the new plan, put that one in action and go get it done.
As John said, the program would be tough to run with it split up. Those first cycles prepare you for the beating you are about to take as each cycle ramps up.
Don't be upset with yourself, you are still training and it's not like you have given up.
Good luck with the 351 fullbody. That sounds like a great direction to go.

Dave, you have had a brutal month, with huge stress and interrupted training. There is simply no point in beating yourself up over a few poor sessions. And I say that as a guy who likes nothing more than beating myself up every time I have a bad set.
Reset, rest, and then smash it. Like you said, it has got in your head. You haven't got weak in a month. You just need a reset, mental as well as physical. The 4pps will be waiting for you...☻/

Sorry man. You have had a really tough month. I reckon you will sort it out in short order and be right back at it. Keep trying until you find what works for you and makes you feel happy about your sessions for now. You can always revisit it.

It sure has been a tough month for you Dave with a big emotional roller coaster. It is to be expected that your lifting would suffer as a result. Resetting and then starting fresh sounds like a good idea to me. BLT sounds like a great program, but also like a very tough program that demands big-time focus. Your idea of doing 351 for a while and then hitting BLT again sounds like a good way to go.
If in doubt, squat and run hills. So you walk into the gym and don't know what to do? Then squat and run hills. Have a miserable day at work and want to break someone's neck but aren't sure who's? Then squat and run hills. - Wendler

Cheers again everybody. Feel like I'm doing nothing but moping in here lately and it's starting to drive me crazy again.
Got my numbers all plugged in for 351 and I'm pretty excited to get going. I've kept squats with my actual 1rm and dropped the others just a bit to give me some time to ramp back up. Should have them back up to normal I hope by cycle 2. Squats I kept the same since they've actually been going pretty well lately. Starting tomorrow.
I finally got my gym finished today and it looks awesome. Did some moar rearranging and put the squat rack back where it used to be and converted that old closet into a pretty cool db's area with a mirror and my bench/lat pulldown there as well. I'll get some pics up, Really, really happy with how it looks in there now and I think I figured out a good use for all the space.365 255 480 in April! ...2019

Gym sounds great. Glad you like the new setup. On the training you can only do what you can. Adjust and move forward. With everything you have been dealing with I'm sure it's taken a toll on you. The main thing is to push yourself at wherever your at and move forward. Setbacks happen, all you can do is deal with them and keep going. I think as long as you are pushing yourself you will be fine and get right back to where you were.

Yeah man really happy with the final setup. Had a good day yesterday and a few nights of decent sleep finally. Feeling pretty good atm.

351 Full body training
Cycle 1 l Week 1
193.0
Squats
5 x 100
5 x 125
3 x 150
3 x 175
3 x 200
3+ x 225 - Got 6
Reps were okay and pretty close for the most part but I'm really happy with the session overall just for the fact that I got in there and got some reps done with 2 plates. For the remainder of the week I have 2 moar squat sessions both having me do triples at 215 and a single with 240. That should help me get my depth fully back in order. The weight felt pretty good on my back and I probably had a few more of those in me today if I dug down deep enough. I'll start digging down deeper next week
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AAVysykGdk
Incline DB Bench
12 x 40s
12 x 45s
10 x 55s
DB Rows
12 x 70s
10 x 70s
10 x 70s
DB Curls - just cuz
10 x 30s
10 x 30s
This session felt great and just what I needed. Nothing else really to say. I could've gotten a few more reps with 225 if I really wanted them. I went in giving myself a rep goal of 5 and beat that. After that MF the other day I'm near ecstatic with how this went today. Time to build back up
Also had a physical yesterday and my weight full dressed was at 192. My scale could very well be a bit off since I weighed myself at 195 yesterday in underwear. Either way, weight dropping a bit now but maybe I should be taking my home scale reading a couple of lbs heavier. Not that it really matters though.
Tomorrow is a run day in the snow. Don't be jealous365 255 480 in April! ...2019

Gym looks sweet Dave!
Those squats looked really good man. You stayed tight through all the reps and all looked really good. Fullbody 3 days a week should get you back on track with the quickness.
So that home scale has been trolling you for awhile then, well at least you know where you two stand now.
Have fun running in the snow. Make sure you throw on Rocky IV for inspiration before you head out.

Thanks man it's starting to really come together like I'd hoped. Definitely need some more things to hang on the wall. Drywalling is not my specialty
Thanks Shane.. Squats felt great to get them in. They looked okay I thought as well. Maybe a couple inches more I suppose but whatever. That home scale lol I guess I'll take the dr's one as right and knock 3-5 lbs off whatever reading I get at home.
Thanks Tom.365 255 480 in April! ...2019

Nice workout yesterday Dave. It sounds like the squats went much better than your workout the other day. That is good to hear. Sounds like you're back in the game now.
