I absolutely love my job. I am challenged every day and eat lunch with CFO's from the largest companies in the US. Wish I could name names, but I can't.

Actual salary: $185K; Bonus: usually 5 digits, depends on if we meet firm metrics: low $15K, high $55K.

Years to Manager: 5 years from start date as associate.

Years to Senior Manager: 5 to 8 years depending on performance.

Me versus Corporate Peers: I live in a $1m home, wife drives a MB SUV, I drive a Lexus. Peers in corporate are trying to sell their condo and move up to a $500K house. I am doing a lot better.

I'm in tax consulting, not general consulting. I highly recommend getting into the consulting group, they are high fliers and make bank. If you are open to lots of travel (all expenses paid) then this is the Bruce Wayne lifestyle.

When wife and baby are asleep, I like to use the rare little time I have for entertainment. The Misc. reminds me of when I used to hang out with my bros during the college years. Wife makes fun of me for trolling this site (she's read through the threads). I like it because its a flashback to my late teen, early twenties.

i work in a company with lots of exbig 4, including ex managers, senior managers, directors

the managers get paid more here, not sure if the seniors/directors took a pay cut

Dress code: dress shirt tucked into slacks on normal days. Full suit for client meetings.

Phone: not attached to belt. All phone expenses are fully covered so I throw my phone around like garbage. If I lose my $800 phone, firm will hook my up with a new model in 4 hours.

Hair: its growing like a weed. Some projects do get stressful however.

Have fun working big4 accounting. Sorry you didn't have what it took for MBB consulting, I-Banking, Actuarial Consulting, Engineering, or Comp Sci.

I turn 26 next week and I make 85K/yr. (in NC so that actually goes a decently long way).
If I could sign a contract tomorrow to be making 200k+ when I'm 35 I think I would do it. That's 1%-ing
