Which movies do you feel are movies that just aren't anywhere as good as a lot of people say? Maybe to the point where you flat out dislike it?
I'd say "The Dark Knight Rises". I thought it was enjoyable, but it definitely shouldn't be in the top 100 rated movies on IMDB.
Also, I disliked "Apocalypse Now". Thought the movie was boring & dragged out as ****t.
I know I'll get some backlash for this one since it just came out but I feel "The Revenant" wasn't anything that special. I thought it was okay at best.
I thought "The Avengers" was okay, but nowhere as good as people made it out to be.
"Inglourious Basterds" I felt was really overrated. It's my least favorite Tarantino movie. The movie is titled "Inglourious Basterds" yet the Bastards group are in it for 45 minutes out of a 2hr 30min movie.
I didn't like "Gravity" at all. I like Sandra Bullock a lot but I thought her performance in it was horrible. The movie felt way too gimmicky. It's one of those movies that felt it was only made just for the sake of it using 3D. Just because it visually looks good, doesn't make it a good movie.

Sicario
The soundtrack did a good job building up tenseness, but the actual scenes never delievered. The main girl put in no work either. She spent the entire movie getting wrecked. The other characters just used her face to wipe their @sses and moved on with life. Pointless lead character of peace
Also, The Conjuring. Nowhere near as scary as some made it out to be. To this day, I don't understand how it got good ratings.Last edited by AD117; 01-23-2016 at 01:38 PM.

Star Wars 7
Mad Max Fury Road
Jurassic World
First two were tolerable but mind=blown with the amount of praise they all got, especially Jurassic World which seriously looked like it should've been a movie made by the SyFy channel fifteen years agoLifts:

Don't have heroes; look up to no one. Because as long as someone's leading the way, the best you'll ever be is second.

Pulp Fiction.
Had good parts but overall didn't think it was anything that special. John Travolta also looks like he's a fuking cartoon with long hairThe best advice that I was ever given, was to give up.
(It fuarkin means people pushed me to try harder in order to disappoint them, you idiots.)

American Gangster.
Was expecting a lot and found it so so. However this was years back, maybe will give it another watch soon.
Wolf of Wall Street.
Was OK. Was expecting another Goodfellas, except with stockbrokers but it was too long and drawn out with same themes over and over. Cut it by like a half hr, 45 min and it would've been much better.NY Giants - NY Knicks - NY Yankees
MAGA 2016 - AMERICA FIRST

I remember I seen it when I was like 14, and really wasn't into it. Than I watched it about 5 years later, and just loved it. It's one of my favorite movies now. I think you just have to enjoy Tarantino's style though to like it. Since I doubt people whom dislike Pulp Fiction will like Django Unchained or Kill Bill Vol. 2 for instance.

The Martian = most overrated film last year.
Of all time? Idk man. Fight Club is one, even though it didn't receive huge critical reception anyways. There are a lot of them now that I think about it.*United States Space Force Vet*

star wars 7 got a ton of hate. almost all i've seen was hate. the love only lasted a week or two now all nerds do is bitch about how bad they are.
and i think if you didn't love mad max you just didn't go in with the right mind set. i went in just expecting a non stop action movie start to finish, that's what I got, and I enjoyed it.
jurassic world was an incredibly awful movie. agree there. My loony bun is fine

i think you really need to be into space travel and science and what not to enjoy the martian. if you're not it'd likely be a snore fest. i do agree it's slightly overrated though. it's as well done as it could possibly be IMO, but still isn't amazing. still an awesome movie though. My loony bun is fine

It wasn't bad at all, just overrated. I would say it's a good movie, but not as good as people make it seem to be and arguing it to be an Oscar winner or some BS. It's a good movie, but there is nothing in there that would blow me away and at times, it was very goofy and not serious, which ruined the vibe for me.
