This team needs serious help everywhere. I don't get how the Kelly era set them back this far. The Eagles literally have about 3 guys on offense that you would want to keep, the rest you could get rid of. It's pretty hard to watch.
I have faith in Pederson but seriously they need to get their crap together with all the penalties.Last edited by devin45k; 11-29-2016 at 07:20 AM.

Glad I didn't stay up for this game by the sound of it. Remember, this was suppose to a 4-12 season.
Chip got rid of some serious talent. McCoy, Mathis, DeSean, Maclin and in return he drafted Agholor, Smith, etc.
This would be a completely different offense if we had even two of those guys★☆★ Full-Time Philadelphia Eagles Fan ★☆★

I've defended Wentz quite a bit and as recently as a few minutes ago but that was a dumb, dumb throw. Against all odds a touchdown on that last drive could have had us in a position to tie/win the game and that just sealed it.
At this point I'm not even sure this team can win any of the last 4 games. Maybe the Ravens if anything.

Missed the entire game today. First missed one all year and was kind of glad I did judging by how it went. How did Wentz play with what's around him? I know he threw three picks, that's scary was he as bad as he looked on the stats? Love the guy we just literally have no one around him. Our d obvs played terrible to. No pass rush again I assume? Cbs getting manhandled. There should be no excuses for our lack of pass rush with who we have and it's been absolutely terrible. How was Pederson today?

everybody played terrible
wentz looked terrible, but it's hard to say if we can judge this game at all. everybody was dog ****. false start every single drive. forced throws that turned into picks. usual collection of drops.
but defense blew this one early and put them in that spot, 60 fukin pass attempts in one game.

Pederson has lost the team, I really hope they lose out and fire this goofball. He's just not going to be a good head coach. There are rookie mistakes, then there is just flat out not being a good coach. He has been a horrendous play-caller, made awful decisions that has costs game, and just flat out has been bad since week 4.
Wentz has also completely regressed. Teams have figured him out, and I'm really concerned with his flaws. You can blame the receivers for this and that, but the truth is the past two weeks they haven't been the issue. His mechanics are bad. He has an awful hitch that slows his delivery, he stares down his receivers, he throws off his back foot instead of stepping into his throws, he's made awful, and I mean AWFUL, decisions the past few weeks. The line blows but he holds on to the ball way too much and takes sacks instead of getting rid of the ball. You can't turn him into this player who can do no fault and be blind to his obvious flaws. Does having a chit coach and virtually no supporting talent hurt? Absolutely, but there some things that Wentz is doing that have nothing to do with that. Two of the three INTs today were just flat out awful.
I hope, for our sake, he turns into an above average QB, but I really don't think he'll turn into an elite QB like some have touted. Didn't like the trade before the season, and I'll admit I bought into the hype the first few weeks, but now he's regressing when he should be improving at this point in the season and I'm worried.
I also think Lurie should wipe his hands of Howie, but I don't see that happening. This push to recreate the Reid era is misguided, you can't replicate that era with just one guy because you don't have the elite assistant coaches and coordinators Reid had.
My hopes for this off-season is that they pursue Prior, Jeffery, and avoid Djax unless they miss on the first two. Djax relies on speed and is going to be 31. He's also going to command a contract that he won't play up to. Would rather go all in on the younger, more skilled, Jeffery/Prior.
Lastly. I am sick of Zach Ertz. I can't can't believe they gave this bum the contract they did. He's the king of garbage time. When the game was relevant he had I believe 2 catches for 7 yards. I don't know if he is still nursing an injury or he just is flat out soft, but his continued ability to not pick up YAC is ****ing embarrassing for someone who's been poised to be the next big TE for the past 3 years. There was a play in this game where he had a chance to put a block on Burfict when Wentz was scrambling and he ****ing stood to the side and let him run right past him, it was flat out embarrassing.*****Eagles/Phillies/Flyers/Sixers*****

The whole thing was brutal to watch. The whole team is regressing. I have really lost confidence in Pederson and Schwartz.
Their defense is BAD now! The first six games they allowed 72 points (12 ppg) but the last 6 they allowed 157 yards (26.2 ppg). Schwartz boggles me right now. There are some games where I am like "wow, he really is good at defensive schemes." Then a game later he does terrible and it looks like a totally different Coordinator was in charge. They aren't even getting any sacks anymore. Can't help the D backs when there never is any pressure.
The team doesn't have any discipline anymore. They have the 3rd most penalties in the league right now I believe. They have way too many false starts and now they are starting to pack on personal fouls. I really feel like they don't care and have lost the confidence in Pederson.
The offense of play calling is really pissing me off. Pederson is setting up Wentz to fail at this point. He doesn't have any weapons and is trying to force throws now. They need to establish the run first with this band-aid running back crew. In their 5 wins they had over a 100 yards rushing in those games. In their 7 losses they had 2 games over a 100 yards.
You can tell Wentz is trying to force stuff now because Pederson is putting way too much on this guy's shoulders right now. A rookie QB should never have to throw 60 times in a game with horsesh*t receivers! He is on pace to have the 2nd most pass attempts ever by a rookie QB. The only person higher is Weinke. That is how you make a guy lose confidence and regress. A rookie should be out there with support that makes him better. He is a rookie out there trying to make the others better. That's not right and that all falls on Pederson.
Statistically he is doing better than Flacco in his rookie year. Around the same QBR, better completion %, and around 70 more pass yards a game. I compare them because they are both FCS guys. That Ravens team had a lot more help for him too. Flacco turned out decent and I think Wentz will if Pederson doesn't destroy this kid.
On a positive note: Paul Turner got some playing time finally. He actually looked pretty decent as a 3rd WR option when he was out there.
In the end, this team is bad. Kelly really destroyed this team on talent. Right now there are literally 3 guys I would say they need to keep on offense. On defense there are only probably 3 guys, I would say they should keep. Wentz and the whole team will not get any better until they get new players in there.Last edited by devin45k; 12-05-2016 at 08:13 AM.

Honestly, I ain't even mad. This season is going exactly how it was suppose to. This wasn't a Super Bowl year for us. Firing Pederson would be stupid. It takes years to build a team and culture not to mention get the guys that fit your program and scheme. We're still trying to unfuk what Chip did, that's going to take some time.
Also, play calling plays a HUUUGGEE role in a QBs play. Look at Stafford. After he got a new OC calling the plays he's turned into one of the top QBs in the league.★☆★ Full-Time Philadelphia Eagles Fan ★☆★

Well our best RB is a 5'6" 185lbs 33 year old who is definitely wearing down this time of the year. Our other RB is like Samuel L Jackson in Unbreakable so he can't be depended on. That being said we should have tried to be more balanced, I don't even think we ran the ball 20 times.
If we didn't move up for Wentz there's a 99% chance he would have been a Cowboy which is kind of funny. You guys lucked out by getting Elliot and Dak instead of just Wentz★☆★ Full-Time Philadelphia Eagles Fan ★☆★

I think they had wentz rated #1
I'm honestly still a little skeptical with dak.he really is in the best position possible.
How does he play when more is put on him. Aikman was great during the sb runs when he threw it 20 times a game. Not even close to the same qb when he team changed and he was asked to do moreDallas Cowboys

I'm usually for giving Coaches more than one year, but Doug hasn't looked like he knows what hes doing. He wasn't their first choice, he wasn't their second, he wasn't being considered by any other team... Do we think the Eagles are just smarter than everyone else or do we think the rest of the league had a less biased assessment of him?
I'm going with the latter.*****Eagles/Phillies/Flyers/Sixers*****
