I am rather confused which one to select for my gym workouts. Should I go with leather weight lifting gloves or simple ones. Which one will be best for my gym workouts?
I just found it from rdxsports.com/en_gb/fitness/gym-gloves/
There are two options, I can go for leather gym gloves or simple workout gloves. Need your suggestions.

How about the third option of bare hands and chalk?
I don't believe in deloading. Instead you should find someone at the gym, ask them to be your friend, once you are friends ask them to blind fold you, make sure not to look cheeky because otherwise they might get the wrong end of the stick. Then ask them to load the bar with a number between 2.5kg - 250kg, then blast out 4x10 reps. You gotta get past that mental block, deloads are a waste of time and you don't get any kudos from your new friend at the gym. Seeking: Hip Press

When you use your bare hands you will build up calluses and no longer feel the need for wearing gloves
You will not have to spend money on gloves
You will not look goofy at the gym
When people shake your hand they will not think you are a little bish with soft hands that has never done some manual labor in his lifeBrosplit Crew

It adds thickness to the bar/handles which serves to weaken grip. Gloves will always rub generate excess friction against your skin as it's a non-fixed intermediate layer, they don't reduce callouses in the long term. You will get used to a bar quickly.
Unless you are a hand model, I wouldn't really sweat callouses. Given a human interacts with the world through his hands it would be completely unnatural to see a strong/powerful/active/fit individual (evidence of adaptation to consistent workload) with supple hands that show no evidence of work or use. Some guys that don't want callouses though and if that's the issue, generally is when a guy asks about gloves, they can speak to how they treat them.▪█─────█▪ Rogue Barbell Crew #27 ▪█─────█▪

Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

While I would normally do the same as the rest of you all and mock the fact that some people where gloves, I am actually considering starting to use them. Last week I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Dupuytren's Contracture. From everything I have read it seems that limiting any unnecessary pulling, load, or stress on the hands can only benefit. It sucks and I will probably turn in my man card with the purchase of the gloves.

I don't see how gloves will deload the hands. The stress is still on them.
If you started deadlifting with straps, this would make more sense to me.
Since it's swampy/scared fascial tissue, I'd "think" breaking the tissue up would be healthy for it, a la myofascial release.
Correct me if I'm wrong, this is just what "seems" logical.Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

I use these gloves: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/gl/train.html
They're probably not the best, but they were a gift from a friend who's been lifting for a while and tried many different gloves. They aren't ripped/stunk up yet, so I keep using them.
People will have you believe that you aren't a man unless you lift without gloves, but take that with a grain of salt. I have friends who lift without gloves and they have insane huge calluses on their palms, it's really disgusting.
My main gym doesn't allow chalk and I don't want the mess at home either. If you do go for chalk, check out liquid chalk. It actually doesn't go everywhere the way regular chalk does. You will still build calluses using chalk, if that's your preference.
Bottom line: don't worry about what others think... do what makes sense for you.USAPL RAW Competitor

btw i used to think i needed gloves because my hands sweat. turns out it was my cheap chrome barbell that was slippery and not my hands too much.
what i mean is you probably just need to throw more money at the problem: try buying an expensive barbell and see if that will solve your problem.Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House
