I would LOVE if it's a dud. They are comparing it to February 2010 which was horrible. They're predicting 2+ feet of snow in some of the weather models.
Home you made it home safely. Are you expecting much from this storm or is it going to pass south of you?
Thanks! Slowly working my way back up to where I was. Again.
I have Reese's, Kit Kats, Hershey Kisses, bacon jerky, and Ramen. If I have time I'll make some pasta to bring as well. I think it's going to be a long weekend but hopefully the payday will make it worth it. I'm trying to think of it as a giant slumber party.

Oooo nice combo! I miss Ramen, haven't had that in maybe a year, I legit love that stuff.
Just don't flip em sprinkles side down, don't wanna lose your sprinkles in the fire. Every time I clean out my toaster it's like a sprinkle cemetery in there.Current PRs:

Safe travels!
6-12 inches is still a lot of snow. Trade ya though
I think they'd frown on a fire in the psych hospital. Though it would be a good way to melt some snow.
I too like Ramen, chicken flavored of course. Don't care for the beef for some reason.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343

Week 3, Day 2
Managed to get in some bench and squats today. I had wanted to get in deadlifts as well, but am too anxious about getting to work in front of the storm. I have a feeling I'll be doing nothing but home workouts for a few weeks so plenty of time to do deadlifts then.
Bench Press - A few of these were grinders. Got them all though.

Total - 9,225
Week 4 Preview - This week was supposed to be a deload but I'll do what I can at home. I'll also be doing a ton of shoveling of course. Sunday - Work 7-1530
Monday - Shoveling
Tuesday - Shoveling?
Wednesday - Work 7-1530
Thursday - Work 7-1530
Friday - Work 7-1530

They were very long days. We worked 16 hour shifts and I got maybe 4-5 hours of sleep a night. We were getting paid 1.5 around the clock, so that's nice. I also love my job and my coworkers. THAT made a huge difference.
~~~~~~
Here's the link to my website of the storm. There are some rather funny ones at the end not shown below I probably should have waited until later as I'm sure I'll take more pictures. Whatever.
And here are some pictures:
You can barely see the building in the background
Back at home, the cars were almost completely covered
Maybe I'll get my car out this spring?
It looks much better today. It was ~50 degrees. Lots of melting happening.
~~~~~~
I managed to dig my dad's car out. It was already started so it wasn't horrible. Also walked to some of the bigger roads around me to see how they were. They look fine. Hoping to drive myself to work tomorrow and not have to ride the bus. I was actually leaning towards the bus earlier today, but so much has melted that I think I can make it, so long as I can get off my road.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343

Yeah, the last two days have been pretty helpful in regards to melting. Not too warm so no flooding, but at least taking a couple inches of snow away.
Glad to hear the roads are getting better where you are. Went to work today and didn't have any issues...but then again, they were all main roads.Workout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903

I think we had a flood watch. I did notice some standing water on the way to work yesterday, which slightly concerns me as it's below freezing this morning. We'll see I guess.
The roads weren't horrible yesterday. A lot of them are only 1.5 lanes which makes for interesting driving when you're used to 2 lanes and a turn lane. LONG back ups to say the least. Oh well. At least there's a clear lane!
~~~~~~
I had every intention of doing cardio yesterday but it didn't happen. I was completely exhausted after work. Came home to "nap" and ended up waking up around 6:30 pm, taking my medication, eating (only because my dad went downstairs and brought food up to me), and then going back to sleep until this morning. Feeling a little more awake this morning.
Once again going to aim to do some cardio when I get home and tomorrow I want to do 10x10 of the big 3, at very low weights obviously. Then this weekend will be spent recovering from that and shoveling my car out. And sleeping. Lots of sleeping. On the positive side, my check looked pretty this morning.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343
Yeah...can imagine with all that overtime
Good luck getting your car out. I decided to finally clear my truck off. The melting caused a nice ice crust on everything and had a nice load of snow in the bed of the truck.Workout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903
Those snow pics... OMG how is the Papa John's delivery guy gonna get through all that?! This makes me sad. I hope you did not have to go without pizza (bbq chicken. ) Also, I would build the biggest friggin' snow fort in that, heehee.
It was time and a half around the clock AND overtime. Mine wasn't as pretty as some of my coworkers, but it was twice as much as usual, so no complaints. Might actually buy this along with a flat bench: http://www.sportsauthority.com/Marcy...entPage=family
I just haven't decided yet.
It looks much better now Our managers bought us pizza on Friday night. No pizza since. I did have a ton of pizza in the week prior though. Found a place that delivers stuffed crust pizza. YUM!!Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343
Week 4 Wrap Up
As planned, this was a deload week. It was more of a deload week than planned actually. Apparently the working 16+ hours days with 4-5 hours of sleep a night really exhausted me. Caffeine pills didn't even help keep me awake all day like they had been. Hoping that by sleeping a lot I'll be back to where I was sooner rather than later. Hoping this doesn't start another autoimmune flare as I thought I was just coming out of the 6+ month one that started in July 2015. No formal workouts this week but plenty of shoveling.
Week 5 Preview - Hoping to be back to the gym this week. We'll have to see how I feel and how the doctor appointment goes on Tuesday.
Sunday - Home workout + cardio?
Monday - Work 0700-1530
Tuesday - Rheumatologist appointment + Commercial gym workout + cardio?
Wednesday - Work 0700-1530
Thursday - Work 0700-1530 + Powerlifting gym workout
Friday - Work 0700-1530
Only thing stopping me from buying it is the price to have it delivered and put together. It doesn't look like something my dad and I want to attempt ourselves. An extra $250 makes me think twice about it.
Hopefully! I'll find out in a couple hours.
I'm thinking about it more for my dad than for me. I'd still go to the gym(s) I do now, so it wouldn't cut down on gym membership prices. It would more be for him since he doesn't seem to want to go to the gym these days.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343
We've put together a lot of different things and decided it's best if we don't try it again. We get in terrible fights LOL. It is free shipping though. Undecided still. So far just have put the extra money in savings.
So many things I could do/buy.
1 - The cage above
2 - A week long seminar at my undergrad college this summer
3 - Another vacation (Niagara Falls)
4 - Dance showcase costs
5 - Put towards current school loan
6 - Just save it
I don't know which to do yet.Last edited by SophieM; 02-02-2016 at 05:18 PM.
