The small island that you start on is known as Seal Island. Its located in South Africa. You have to swim from the island to a boat that is 100 METERS away.
WOULD YOU BRAHS? WHATS YOURS PLAN OF ATTACK?

I would start the swim and form a salty barrier from my tears...
the tear barrier would keep me shielded from the great white death machines and I would hopefully not die of anxiety and a heart attack....
fuark I would be chitting myself for real tho... wounder if that would help my tear barrier*engaged crew*

A billion dollars would be meaningless if I'm dead, so no. I'm living happily enough as things are.
Now if you told me that in the event that I die while trying to complete the mission, the billion could still go to my family members per my detailed instructions, then yes I'd seriously consider taking the risk.
At least then I'd know my family was set up financially for life without me if I failed. It'd be way too raw of a deal for them for me to not make it and leave them empty handed and without me like that. You'd be a fool to take this risk unless the money was guaranteed to at least your family in one way or another, assuming you have people to take care of.

Yup. Would jump at the chance. If there's no time limit there are many ways to go about it, even with the sharks, without being attacked. There is a risk it will still happen, but if you know what you're doing you can decrease that risk enough so that the risk/reward of the swimming/$1 billion is an easy choice.

100 meters in the ocean would take me probably 1:30-2:00 minutes, that is as a competent swimmer (polo in hs and college). Water would be cold and pushing back at you going off the island which would make it tough but I'd take the risk, sharks rarely attack humans that are just swimming, it is surfers that appear to have a seal shape with how there arms and legs look from below the board that get attacked the most.
I'd bet most miscers would take 5+ minutes to get to the boat or just drown on the way, the waves that will push you back on the rocks is the most dangerous part.
