Welcome to the Terminal!
====================================
====================================
Misc, it is time that we programmers get together in our own crew. Let us use this thread to discuss our profession/school work/IT horror stories/etc..
====================================
Rules
- Tell us about yourself.( In school? Already into your career? Back end, front end, web dev, databases? )
- What languages do you know?
- What is your favorite language?
- Are you a member of the PC Gaming Master Race?
====================================
- Post some funny code in a code block
I will start:
I am in school currently. Majoring in Computer Programming/Database management. I already have a job in the field which i attained through co-op and they offered me a fulltime job!
I am familiar with Visual Basic, C#, C, Java, HTML5/CSS, SQL/TSQL, Winbatch(scripting language for Windows).
My favorite so far is C and SQL/TSQL. I really like working with databases. It's what I do mainly at work.
I am a member of the master race. Haven't played anything in a few months though because I've been busy with school.
Code:UPDATE @Misc SET Is******* = 1 WHERE Current_Thread.Poster = "OP"

I'm not really a programmer but I did go to school for CS. I work for a fairly large US tech/engineering company. I know C, Java, and Python. Don't really play games anymore, but I definitely think it's a really cool industry. Don't have any funny code blocks, but I've got CS/programming joke:
A programmer's pregnant wife started going into labour so he rushed her to the hospital. It was long labour, but eventually she gave birth to a beautiful baby. The programmer held the baby in his arms and feelings of great joy overcame the couple. The new mother turned to her husband and said "Boy or Girl?" The programmer responded "True."

In on this.I'm actually in a completely different major (corporate finance) but have been trying to learn on my own a bit. Definitely haven't learned much other than following tutorials on codeacademy.
Been doing html/css as well as ruby and python.
Would like to get some IT certifications as well just to always have career options.

Not programmer but work with game/app developers all the time and I wish I could do what they do. Watching them code is pretty awesome

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."
