the show killed off all the potential interesting twists and plot lines
dorne is dead
sansa and LF plotline is dead
northern conspiracy is dead
mance rayder is dead
young griff doesn't exist
no stoneheart
at least we get god-mode ramsay, bad puzzy, and danny saying her meaningless titles 3 times an episode

Y'all do remember the hound fought the mountain in season 1, right? Mountain tried to kill Ser Loras after that ******* rode a mare that was in heat to win the Tourney of the Hand.
It's also interesting to see the Hound bow to Robert Baratheon. He actually respected him.And relief washes over me in an awesome wave

Hound still alive is all but confirmed with that dialogue between the waif and Arya. Can't wait for the 'bowl. Hound is my favourite character, I just hope he wins.

Littlefinger > Varys.
Lol at thinking Littlefinger is solely reliant on the Lannisters and the Tyrells. LF is always in a Xanatos gambit scenario. Either way he wins.
Hes currently schemed himself to lord of the Vale. He made the play with Sansa which gains the favour of the Boltons yet at the sametime telling the Lannisters he will march north and take winterfell if Cersei makes him Warden of the north.
Either way Littlefinger is going to unite the Vale and the North. This also happened at the start of the rebellion and look how that ended up.
Doesn't he also own Harrenhall? I seem to remember that might have been taken from him for though.

It's all very poetic. Hound isn't an evil sort, he's just had to do evil things on command. You saw that in this week's episode, when the waif quizzed Arya on why she took Sandor's name of her little list. You can tell there was a bond made there. It was really rewarding to watch back in Season 4, one of the best things about the whole show in my view.
Sandor - scarred by fire.
Gregor - reanimated, effectively a wight
Wights - only susceptible to fire
Sandor - to overcome his brother, he has to overcome his one fear, that being fire.
Poetic. Perfect.

Someone posted that pic of here of Rickons Direwolf ... Shaggydog is supposed to be goldenbrown/white isnt he? Why the hell do they show a black head.. That looks more like Robb's wolf.
Also I thought each Direwolf was supposed to have a significance to the Stark Children -
Sansa's Dog - Killed (Showing how Sansa is cut off from the Stark lineage or something because she has to marry someone from the outside)
Arya's Dog - Lost (She sends it away) kind of how Arya gets lost for a long time during the seasons and "runs away".
Robbs Stark - Dead like him.
If that is Rickons Direwolf that has been killed, are we free to assume that then Rickon will be killed as well? If anything it would set further concrete Jon to takeover the North and oust Ramsay.Sig line can't be a novel

I know this has been answered already, but now that the show is past the books, who's creating the story? Is it solely the producers or does George have any input?

I have a feeling that Ramsay is being played by the Umbers. It's risky but I believe they have taken a calculated risk to hand Ramsay Osha and Rickon, pretend they killed Shaggydog to win his trust, and will then strike when he leasts expects it.
Or...we could just see Rickon and Osha flayed and burned in a future episode, who knows.

Shaggy dog is black and was always the most wild, almost untamable dire wolf.

Seems to me like the Rickon gambit is the more palatable substitute for Manderly playing the baker.
Which is strange considering the incest/rape/everything-else-goes approach taken thus far.
