    Posing for Men's Physique

    Hey guys,

With Men's Physique being a relatively young category, some of you may still have questions regarding posing. This is my second year as a Pro with the INBA/PNBA and some of the things that I've learned this year are:

Practice, practice, practice...I don't know if practicing your posing as early as a year out seems silly, it did to me, but that will only help you become more comfortable, confident, and move more fluidly come competition day.

Expect the unexpected...Understanding that most competitions will follow the same typical format, it can and has changed from competition to competition. Judges may call out poses you may not have come across before...Shows can go so long that they may ask you to perform an "I" walk instead of "T" walk just to speed things up...You might enter from the other side of the stage than you were anticipating (maybe you can adapt on the fly, but for those of us that can't, being an "ambi-turner" could help you from tripping up.)

Here's an example - my "I" walk from this year's Natural Olympia:

Most people need to work on transitions, as in bodybuilding.
