Those Mohammedans in Syria are not causing one fkn problem to Britain.
Instead of beating around the bush mr Cameron how about closing your borders and dealing with the already growing problem within Britain itself?!
After all they are letting these jihadists in, and that's where terrorist attacks are likely to occur.

Key Points
MPs vote by 397 to 223 to authorise UK air strikes against so-called Islamic State in Syria
During a 10-hour debate, David Cameron urged Tory MPs to 'take a stand' against IS
But the prime minister was criticised for branding Jeremy Corbyn a "terrorist sympathiser"
Jeremy Corbyn said the PM's case "does not add up" and could make the situation worse
Shadow home secretary Hilary Benn was applauded by MPs after urging Labour to "confront the evil" of IS
Despite Tory rebels, PM expected to win helped by votes of some Labour MPs, the Lib Dems and DUP
A separate cross-party amendment opposing airstrikes was defeated by 390 votes to 211

I would have no problem voting for bombings if there was an actual long term plan in place.
This just reeks of short-termism/reactionary thinking. You won;t defeat ISIS unless you have troops on the ground and Cameron's answer to those troops on the ground was weak. An exaggerated number and he couldn't even define the make up of the troops.
You don't win unless there's cohesion from the allies but there isn;t. Erdogan would prefer Kurds dead rather than ISIS. Putin kills both ISIS and Assad opponents equally, those opponents being the same ground troops Cameron was referring to. What an absolute clusterfuk.
Air strikes will do jack **** in the long term. Watch this become another fuk up.
The Labour Party is fuked now as well.
Cameron is laughing.
He made the debate into two sides
1) Bomb Syria
2) Do nothing ("terrorist sympathisers - what a kunt)
Everyone with a brain cell knows that second option wasn't "do nothing", but the opposition made it seem like that as they did not put enough of an argument up.1977

I agree and I'll be interested to see how we get ourselves out of it. We either have a case of mission creep, although a full scale Afghanistan or Iraq style war is very unlikely atm.....or we just admit defeat in a few years and Westminster spins it all whilst the French and Americans do the same. Madness.

Exactly. It's not about being a pacifist, but being a pragmatist.
Thing is, just because Iraq was a fuk up it doesn't mean we shouldn't intervene in situations like this. We saw it in the 90's with the US, they fuked up in ****lia, which meant they hesitated going into Rwanda, which ended in genocide. Fact is these decisions are difficult and you can;t seem to win no matter which way you go.
But, with so many nations at play here though, with different objectives, the biggest debate should have been on post-war Syria, and how to make sure it doesn;t become another vacuum for an extremist party. How to make sure we don;t end up training and arming another Taliban or ISIS. Surely tey should sense a pattern here instead of jumping straight in. All we got were mainly emotional arguments about what happened in France and how they've asked for help.
The opposition debated that poorly, disappointed. Felt like it should have waited a few more weeks rather then so soon after an attack on France, a country that was already bombing in Syria.1977

Yep, all correct. I also think the politicians are fools because has it occurred to them that this is exactly what ISIS wants? Do you think that ISIS were surprised in the slightest that French air strikes intensified after the Paris attacks? Do you think ISIS is surprised that French allies are doing the same? They've set the plan and we're following it like a bunch of brain dead idiots.
