...what? My point is **** happens. Bad calls happen to every single team in the NFL every single time. And also that the pats may not have been even put in the situation to even be competitive if those certain things didn't happen. Do you not see the bigger picture? A million variables could have changed the scope of the game. Stop ****ing acting like the refs are the ONLY reason they lost. Suck it the **** up. Do you think BB is telling them team they should have won if it wasn't for the refs? Give me a ****ing break

This for the most part. Bad calls happen all the time and to every team. These were some of MANY bad calls this year, but a lot of the Patriots detractors in here need to realize this isn't just a fan base complaining about calls going their way. This game very well could have been the difference in home field advantage deep into the playoffs. For poor calls to dictate that kind of outcome, it is a little more than just a bad call and should draw a lot of attention.
Other people can chime in but these calls for this game, the Seahawks/Lions call that changed the outcome of that game...what else? I feel like there was at least 1 other call that directly impacted the end of a close game. Refs are human at the end of the day, but some of these are so obvious (especially the Seahawks/Lions one where the ref was clearly staring at the ball the whole time) there needs to be some safety checks. There are 2 teams on the field and that should be all that matters in a game.

there are tons of obscure rules refs can choose to call but dont just like they can call holding/PI on every single play. calling the tuck rule at that particular moment when it's been called at most once in history is one of those cases of refs bringing up obscure rules to further their agenda.

You say a lot of dumb **** on here, but this has to be the dumbest. Injuries aren't an excuse, except when you have a lot of them...wat? Packers were just as beat up with their WR/TE core earlier in the year and you were blaming Rodgers, that's fine if you want to choose that argument, but you can't have it both ways *******.

The officiating wasn't good but lettuce be reality, they were up 21 to 7. The Pats returner fumbled the ball on a return and the momentum seemed to go to the Broncos. I know it's snowing and bad weather conditions but you just can't turn the ball over like that especially on the road.

Packers missed out on home field advantage in the playoffs years ago because of the fail mary call... No calls will probably surpass that. And believe it or not, that wasn't even the worst call of the game...
Every fan base could point to terrible calls both for and against their team most games. I only routinely watch the packers but there have been some legit awful calls that have dictated games this year, mainly against but even a few for the packers. It's just part of the game. Teams need to be good enough that a few calls won't dictate the game unfortunately.

Patriots "elite" D held the Broncos to 7 points through 3 quarters. A muffed punt and the awful officiating put points on the board in the 4th as much as anything.
The most obvious ones that come to mind..
The "extra timeout" the Broncos were gifted and the 10 seconds of runoff that somehow still occurred.
The no call on Talib on 3rd down on the Pats' overtime drive.
this iffy hold negated a 51 yard gain late in the 3rd quarter on 3rd down. collinsworth and michaels thought it was a bad call.
If this is offensive pass interference...
Then so is this. Right arm clearly extends. Calling a hold on this to me was the only truly truly horrendous call, and this was also the most pivotal. This should have been OPI and a hold to offset or nothing at all.
We can throw in this obvious hands to the face on the go ahead touchdown in there too.
Two of these were questionable/poor, two of these were unarguably terrible calls, and they were all on pivotal plays in the last 20 minutes of the game. If even one of these calls went the other way, the Patriots would have won that game. This was the worst officiating in a sports game since the 2002 Kings-Lakers.
Professional sportswriters appear to be split into two camps on this
1. The ones who are calling this an actual fix.
2. The ones calling this horrendous officiating that indisputably cost the Patriots the game.
We can argue about whether this is an NFL conspiracy, but there is no argument that the deciding factor in this game was the Broncos getting 4 iffy/terrible calls in their favor in the last 20 minutes. Will you still rep me when I'm no longer age:20 and aesthetic?

It will just be so much sweeter when the pats beat them in the playoffs. LMAO if you think the donkeys stand a chance against the Pats with Edelman, gronk, Amendola, Collins and Hightower back. The docks barely squeaked out a win with all those bs calls. Enjoy your victory Bronco fans because you know winter is coming.

LMFAO at this desperate ******* STILL trying to convince others that the refs didn't completely alter the game in the 4th and hand the Broncos the win. Pathetic.
But hey, a gift-wrapped win is still better than the loss the Broncos were about to be served. You can at least be grateful for that, I guess.

The retardation ITT is growing too strong, so I'll leave on this note. I'm breaking it up into nice little chunks for you, so you don't choke on it.
1. A team's miscues during a game have no relevance to how good or bad the officiating was. This is so apparent that I shouldn't even have to say it, but it seems like this is a confusing idea for you.
2. A perfect game is one where both teams are judged equally harshly by the rules, so that there is no dispute that the deciding factor in the game was how well the teams played.
3. Referees make mistakes. Close games happen. Basic probability tells us every now and then a missed call or a bad call will be the deciding factor in a close game. We all btch about it when it makes our team lose, but this is just an unavoidable part of sport.
4. The referees made about 6 really iffy calls in the last 20 minutes of the game. Under perfect circumstances, these situations would have been split about 3-3, given that these were all very very close calls.
5. The split of these 6 iffy calls was 5-1 in favor of the Broncos. The two least significant (offensive holding on the broncos and the holding no call on aqib talib in OT) were tied at 1-1. The four most pivotal calls of the game all went against the Patriots.
6. Believing the officiating was not the deciding factor in this game is actually delusional. Plenty of impartial posters on misc called this game a joke, as have dozens of pro sports writers from across the country including in Denver.
"9 Reasons the Broncos Won"
"6.Penalties. If everybody didn't hate the Patriots, people might say they got jobbed -- by three penalties in particular."
http://www.9news.com/story/sports/nf...iots/76583488/
Your homer sportswriters can tell it like it is, it must not be that confusing.
But in real tea, none of this matters. The Patriots were up 21-7 when they lost Donta Hightower and Gronkowski. The team the Broncos beat in the 4th quarter and OT was a team without Hightower, Jamie Collins, Edelman, Gronk, or Amendola. 5 of the 7 best players on this team were out. This obviously isn't an excuse for why we lost, but it is the reason why we will win the rematch (if denver gets that far). Will you still rep me when I'm no longer age:20 and aesthetic?

Rob is such a delusional homer youre wasting your time trying to convince him otherwise. Funny he didn't comment on any of those gifs you posted because they were all missed calls in favor of broncos.
Game was clearly horribly officiated and any neutral fan watching the game last night saw this.
If gronk is able to come back healthy then this loss is a good thing for the pats and will eliminate the undefeated talks during playoffs.

you *******s really believe pats fans or genius who isn't a pats fan care about this regular season hosing? Its about the integrity of the game you idiots.
The rules have been set up to the point that officials can pick and chose when they call penalties to kill or extend drives. Thats the crux of this matter, not the outcome. The fact that shiet that happens on every single play gets called in critical moments and ignored on the other side lets officials influence the outcome of the game.
In case you retards haven't noticed, most nfl games are close. One or two calls down the stretch is the difference in most games.31 Straight unanswered- 5 Rings- GOAT

too stupid to realize that officials making bogus calls in critical moments to influence games is far more damaging to the games integrity than air pressure that wasn't removed from footballs.
As much as I chit on NBE and NBE fans, NFL fans are by far the biggest sheep in the sporting world. No fans get fuked more by their sport than football fans.31 Straight unanswered- 5 Rings- GOAT

Pls go you Brady cuck. wasnt removed from footballs??? Wut. You don't care about the integrity of the game, you're just crying cause the "integrity" of the game wasn't on your side tonight. Lmfao. Only affects the integrity of the game when it happens to you. I don't disagree that the refs can call whatever they want depending on their mood, but this happens to everyone. Shut the fuk up

Bad calls all season against tons of teams...
Do I like it? Nope. But it's not like the Patriots are the only team that has gotten the short end of the stick.
They obviously got to 10-0 with all the calls going against them. I was particularly impressed with their defense of the Hail Mary pass in last week's Monday Nighter. Oh, wait...

It's like 3 days later and you're still in this thread replying to every single post quoting yours explaining why someone is salty and how you aren't, all the while posting the same gif over and over. You need to get a life lol, it's honestly pathetic.

I haven't posted ITT yet, but honestly it's very very funny as a Pats fan to just quote almost everyone and respond, because why not? It's super obvious you guys get a bit over excited when your team beats the Pats, and the Pats are so good that half the sports misc is celebrating them losing.
It's very fun to bully you nerds about this when you're bored.Originally Posted by RogerSterling i workout for my health, dont feel the need to eat if i'm not hungry since i still get plenty of puss being the weight i am now.

It just shows ego when you have absolutely no part in the team. I'm not even a Broncos fan, I'm a Chiefs fan, but you guys replying over and over claiming salt when you are the ones that lost just looks pitiful.
"We lost but hey you needed bad calls to win so HAH." Like what? It's pretty funny to be honest. And extremely sad that someone feels the need to reply over and over defending themselves and the team they cheer for. Just suck it up, you aren't undefeated anymore, get over it.
