well. got the cage all set up, wrecked it 3 times now doing parking lot wheelies.
i kicked it over to see how it'll sit now. here she is. i assume since its a short cage it'll be breaking a lot of bar ends/clip ons and doing some damage to fairings. but no craps given. as long as it protects that engine/drivetrain. im happy

Damn guys. I have the $$$/income for a bike but I may have to wait until I graduate or something.

My mom has said that if I buy a bike she'd take the car (to my sister since I never directly brought it up with her). And I know she isn't joking (now) since she just took my sister's car because she fukked up (we're both in college).

I pay for everything myself except for healthcare, tuition (I had a prepaid plan, so my mom paid it), and car payments/insurance.

So basically my only options are:

- Buy the bike and hide it from my mom and my sister, who will surely tell my mom since she doesn't give a fuk about people's personal business. Get my car taken (lmao). If not for a sibling I'd do this no fuks given.
- Buy the bike and my mom would make me pay the $600 p/m price for the car + insurance (lmao, would be poverty).
- No options include telling my mother about the bike until post-purchase.



So for now if I don't do one or the other, my option is to wait until I graduate when I get a career job to buy the bike. Either way my mom will hate it but if I'm partially living on her dime she has power over my life (financially).


So I think the money is going to have to sit. I'm also thinking about just saying fuk it and buying it and dealing with the results later. I've already almost paid off my student loans so I should graduate with only $500 - $900 in student loan debt.

I have the S w/ catless termi slip-on. It gets pretty hot I'm not gunna lie, its not like the panigale tho which literally burns your ass and you can't escape it, if you put your right foot up on the peg its fine with regular jeans. If you're sitting at a light for awhile and it gets hot (oil temp hits like 215 before the fans come on and hold it steady at 210) and your foot is on the ground the top header can start blasting your inner thigh enough that you can't help but move it. Also sometimes heat pours out of the left side and hits your left thigh, only sometimes though which is weird.

I've got 7500 miles on it and keep enjoying it more and more.

I put a carbon heat guard on it which actually seemed to help, pricey chit though since its two separate pieces.

Anyone run double bubble windscreens? I just considered the thought of putting one on my daily rider. Not sure if there would be much if any airflow difference at highway speeds (im 5'8). and also, puig vs zero gravity? I'll probably get light smoke so I can still actually see thru it. Yet try and justify changing from stock clear lol

Have a double bubble on my 300... I think they look better than clear & you hardly need to see through them unless you're on an adventure touring or something similar.

Holy chit where the fuk are you all?

I got my shock back from Livengood finally. It took over two months, but it's done. I have a bit of cleaning to do, rebuilding brakes, shortening radiator hoses, re-sealing the exhaust flange with sealant so it doesn't blow oil everywhere, and installing a new float valve. Then reassembling the subframe, installing plastics, and buying and mounting the supermoto wheels. Probably another 2-3 months of working on it on the weekends and saving money.
