did you send off the ecu? have you gotten to ride it yet? I'm about to put mine together and bring it home to paint it. not sure if i should do blue/black with the paint i got or sell it and just spray paint it

/or maybe i should spray the plastics with bedliner
not only would it be attractive and protective, it would give me an aerodynamic advantage. like the dents in a golf ball, my bike would slide through the air like a lubricated condom from kiefers butthole

ive never ridden an sv but i had a friend with a 675 that he turned into a track bike and got a 650 for his street bike. he was pretty fast so i take that as a high complement for the SVs. i know they have a good reputation as beginner bikes but they also have a good reputation as good bikes all around that have an availability for parts and plenty of performance for the street for even racers.
great decision, great bike, good head on your shoulders, now tell me whats the fastest youve gone or the most scared youve been since you started riding.

that blue and white one is clean. i think i got this. if you liked that old kawi prepare to have too much power for a road course. the gearing is really tall stock, i dont like to ever have to shift to first because of the possibility of a mishift, but my tranny never gsve me a problem. but still way too tall stock. id go at least down 1 in front and up 2 in rear as a baseline. i wouldnt advise against going -1+4 to start with but the tcs is already too intrusive on setting 1 and i dont know what it does when you change gears

how do you explain the bike running fine for 4 weeks including the day it was started and stopped 4-5 times up until it was parked for 30 mins ads then clicked instead of even turning over and the next day the battery was 5.something. refer to my earlier post. you seem to be picking and excluding signs and symptoms to fit your diagnosis just like ****ty doctors do instead of following the signs. i know it doesnt make sense, thats why im asking help from you in the first place. in your mind, i have made a mistake. either in reporting events, measuring things etc. in my mind, you are a ****ty EE because you cant figure it out.

Yeah I already put -1+2 on it. Everything I have read is talking about how junk the rear shock and linkage is. I have a new spring on the back now so as long as I can get it ballpark for trackdays I'll be ok and having fun. Front everyone says is great, except I'm much bigger than most everyone. I turned preload all the way out and I'm still over the recommended sag amount for the track.
Put a new phone screen and camera on my phone. Its a no go. Touch screen doesn't work anymore. It will work sometimes for a minute after a hard restart but then back to dead.

i put a stiffer spring in rear but never ****ed with the shocks. what are u, 220? sag doesnt matter that much but you need to have the shock revalved. see how it is after you ride it. let me know how it feels to get back on a sportbike after a couple years. after riding dirtbikes for a few months i hopped on that 600 and the bars didnt turn and i almost face planted in my front yard

Well the paint I got would not lay even at all. Really a waste of time trying. Will sand it down and pick up something else that will hopefully go on cleaner.

That can kill the riding spirit.
I'm pretty sure I ended up sanding through the clear I put on and into the blue because I tried to polish it and it ended up just turning matte blue for the most part. Also ran back into the primer in some edge spots. I'm just tired of paint.

what do you mean by "lay"? like its not uniform and even? it doesnt really look bad in the first or second pic but just flatter like you said. what was the problem with the first pic?

dude i didnt wire the whole bike from scratch. its a plug n play harness from baja designs. the only thing that could be wrong (unless baja fuked up the harness) is the wires i was talking about earlier which i pulled from the connector and just guessed and taped up. was running fine then all of a sudden started killing batteries. i can easily switch the pins now that i soldered them. but first i will test the draw. is this fubar battery going to mess with the reading? should i let it sit for a few days before i test draw? and if you every disrespect me like that again im going to test the resistance of your nutsack with a generator nomsayin

Yeah it ended up giving it a cloudy look. First pic is closer to what I wanted it to look like just couldn't get a good consistency with the original paint. I ended up picking some other cans up that looked the same and went on better but like I said I'm sure I probably went through the clear and just sanded the blue from gloss to matte.
How were your brakes on the 10? My 08 zx10r and 09 zx6r had brakes I loved. All grab no mush. I bled these originally and went up and down the street and I'm getting a mushy feel from them. Nissin front mc and same Tokico calipers I think as my old bikes. Not too sure if they changed something on the mc or what is going on.

mine were fine. definitely not 'mushy'. the gsxr stock was a firmer bite but after i replaced the pads in them they were worse. the 10rs brakes were fine from what i remember. they made a little more "hissing" noise with friction on the rotor but they were not spongey at all. maybe slightly progressive as most factory bikes are buit never any fade I never even did ss lines. i didnt track them but they were fine for fast street
