Life was always my favorite. i liked the spinning number thing.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

Can't believe no one mentioned Battleship yet! One of my favorite
We like the old school stuff in our family: Monopoly, Life, Scrabble, Clues, Mastermind.
I pointed my sons to the show Tabletop and they all went crazy for board games again.** Marie **

My wife always hated sitting beside me when playing clue... because right before her turn I would take her person to different rooms to make an accusation. This was a one time thing where I knew her character had "done it" but I did not know which room it was. Since that game she no longer wants to play it.

a friend of mine introduced me to a series of games called "cheapass games" they are pretty original titles:

The games don't come with the parts you need, but tell you what is required to play. They do provide the board and any proprietary pieces...
Other games I love:

Bhonanza (the bean game): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohnanza
Betrayal at House on the Hill: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betray...se_on_the_Hill

Society has varying and conflicting interests; what is called objectivity is the disguise of one of these interests - that of neutrality. But neutrality is a fiction in an unneutral world. There are victims, there are executioners, and there are bystanders... and the 'objectivity' of the bystander calls for inaction while other heads fall.
