Is there a reason youre taking an isolate protein? Are you lactose intolerant? If not, there's no reason for an isolate powder.

its not considered "Medium" stim if you take 2 scoops. That is 300mg caffeine, if you take 2 scoops C450x that is 400mg caffeine which is a pretty big hit at once. If you continue to take 1 scoop (which some people get a good buzz/amount of energy off ift) that may be in your eyes. That is too much of a personal preference from person to person on what they need to reap the benefits of the caffeine amount + the teacor technology to expand caffeine half life over time (up to 30%)

There is no real set time that one must take a stim break..some people, like me, try for a stim break every 8wks or so. In fact, I prefer to lift stim-free for the most part as of late. Others, rarely ever take stim breaks and still feel the effects. Best advice is to listen to the directions on the label. So in your case, since you no longer feel your pre-workout, give a stim-free pre a try and see how it goes

Personal preference. I usually stim break whenever I deload. And some people don't take stim breaks at all. If you do decide to stim break, take a look at PEScience High Volume...stim-free and filled with well-dosed ingredients for pump and performance. If you decide to try it out, I'd recommend giving one scoop a try, and if you decide that's not enough, move up to 1.5 or two scoops.
