I like a good IPA every now and then, although at first I absolutely did not. I tried a few local craft beers and thought they were absolutely disgusting, but I had such an interest in trying new local beers that I ended up developing an acquired taste for IPAs.
The one thing I would be interested in is doing a swap with some miscing beer enthusiasts. Put together a care package of Canadian craft beer offerings and ship it out to another miscer in the US/UK in exchange for some of their local stuff. Would be a great way to experience what is outside of the normal liquor stores we all visit.**Canadian Crew**

Here's the breakdown...
the 50+ IPAs you've had suck ****. Old school IPA was all about bitter and early hop charges to derive as many IBU as possible.
Bitter is not an enjoyable taste. It sucks. Just like old school IPAs.
New IPAs focus on minimal (if any) early hop additions (Read: way less IBU) and very late in the process hop additions that create more flavor and aromatics.
IPAs done with late hopping techniques can range from skunky dankness to tropical orange juice.
They are not bitter in the slightest.
So yes, I actually love IPAs. Good ones. Not the bitter, old-school sht that is pumped out to your local WalMarts and gas stations.
