any fellow (guitar) buffs??
i didnt know were 2 post this, but the thread does contain pictures, so, i figured this forum was some what appropriate..so,
any fellow guitar players here?
preffered brand? model? ive got an ibanez and can honestly say i wouldnt trade it for any other guitar in the world. its been passed down through generations(from my bro, 2 me, not quite a seperate generation, but anyway)and it was the first gat i ever played. in lew of my recent physical complications preventing me from (temporarily)lifting heavy, and having no current responsibilities(job, school, girlfriend)...ive been left with nothing but cable tv and guitar, so music, has been my salvation.
when im not sitting here wasting away my life on internet messageboards, im on old faithful, my rocking chair...
GET IT?? ROCK-ING CHAIR!!! I AM THE GODDAMN PUN-MASTAR!!!-intentionally mispelled emplying a slightly altered pronounciation.
dont ask me what the **** im doin here, i didnt know these pics were being taken.
(FORTIFIED IRON BRO's...hah, dont mean 2 post the exact same damn thread here for you 2 waste your time reading, once again, i need a host for the pictures.)

Looking great. Nice axe too. What model is your Marshall?
Although not my main instruments, I do play guitar and percussion. Keyboards and piano are my forte (pun intended ).

its a 1/2 stack, from the early 90's i believe, still in mint condition, tubes replaced this year.

hey guys. Help me out here. I would love to learn how to play the guitar. Currently, I don't own a guitar. I'm 20, never played one in my life. Did play in band in high school but played percussion. Anyways...what do you guys suggest as to learning how to play? Books, tapes, lessons? Help me out. Can't wait for the replies!

alright, this is the diet i was on a little while ago, before i got sick. in 3 weeks i dropped almost 10 lbs, and got stronger in the process...but this diet is suited exactly for me...someone my hieght/wieght/ bf and goels....ie: what i wanted 2 achieve, and hte amount of time i had 2 achieve it...i hired an online PT Mr. swolecat himself, and have nothing but good things 2 say about him and his services. hes very dedicated 2 his clients, and his month consultation was worth every penny.( www.swolecat.com)
now, heres the diet i was following, and am getting back on tomorrow
Morning-45minutes low intensity cardio first thing,
then
10 eggwhites
3 eggs
2 slices of bacon
2 hours later
protien shake w/ tsp flax oil
2 hours later 8 ounces lean meat w/ veggies
2 hours later
protien skake w/flax oil
pre work out
MRP (or) apple w/ ECA stack
*workout*
PWO
2/3's of a cup dextrose w/ 1 scoop whey
an hour later
same macros, from whole foods. ide usually eat pasta, or a footlong sub from subway
another shake a couple horus later and thats about it!
on my off days i was following a similar diet, just th 2 post workout meals being replaced with 2 smaller meals, containing alot less carbs.(only 25 g's total for the day)
so yeah, tahts basically it!
man im tired.
peace

Nice Gitters, cool thread...
I have always played with guitars, unfortunately they are one of those things in life that are easy to liquidate when funds are short. Gone through a few of 'em...
Now, married, working all the time, lifting when I'm not working. Don't have a whole lot of time to play. I do have an accoustic at home that I borrowed from my brother-in-law for awhile until I decide to make another purchase. It's always fun to strum while watching a football game or hangin out with family.
I'm sorta ol school when it comes to bands.
OLD Metallica
Slayer
Alice in Chains
Pantera
on the lighter side
Dead
Pink Floyd
Moody Blues
Cheers, keep playin and keep liftin...

Yeah, I'm the local shredder-extraordinare. Or so I'm told. I practiced my ass off for a solid 7 years then suddenly got bored with guitar, stopped playing for a year and began to concentrate on being the best bodybuilder in town. Now I'm trying to balance both.
I have an EVH wolfgang and some ****ty 12" Peavey amp...
I used to play allot of shred guitar in the vein of Steve Vai, Yngwie, Vinnie Moore, etc... but now I play in a band which plays my favorite type of music- old school thrash.

I have an Ibanez acoustic/electric. I've had the guitar for a about 2 years, but have just dabbled in learning. Now I'm into it big time, learning more of Incubus and Cure songs.
